Yes, I am aware Ness has issues, and I know he needs to be stopped. But of all people, Kaiser is the one person who has no right to do that. Everything Ness has done has been for him, and he’s progressed to this point today because Kaiser has been complicit with him.

You’d think Ness would just bark at anyone if Kaiser hadn’t encouraged it in the beginning?

Ness just goes with whatever Kaiser says. He is Kaiser’s biggest supporter. His biggest cheerleader. He is Kaiser’s tool. Kaiser’s shield. But he also wants Kaiser to acknowledge him. "SHHH! Dada, shhh," Joffrey suddenly grins and reaches over to put his tiny hand over his father's mouth, giggling as he gets a feel for Cregan's thick beard. "Sleepy time now."

Cregan scoffs but kisses his palms, making Joffrey cackle.

"Alright, little terror," He teases again. "Back to sleep with us and, when you wake up, I'm making Aemond and Lucerys deal with you for the day. Prepare them for the battle that is raising a pup."

Joffrey gasps, delighted. "Uncle Lukey?!"

Jacaerys shushes him and kisses his face. "Shhh, sweet boy," He whines. "Hush now. Yes, you can spend time with Uncle Aemond and Uncle Luke /later/. Let mama and dada sleep for just a few more hours, please?"

"Okay, mama."

"Thank you, dear boy."

Cregan rolls his eyes fondly and wraps his arms around his family protectively as they all cuddle and close their eyes. It isn't even five minutes later before they're all once again snoring away, the sun slowly rising behind the horizon ready for the start of another day.
