Beware The Thanksgiving Salad: CDC Says No Romaine Lettuce Is Safe

A new outbreak of E. coli has hit dozens of people in 11 states. No deaths have been reported, but the CDC says consumers should not eat any romaine lettuce until more is learned about the outbreak.

PSA that any news articles or posts that you’re seeing about E. coli in romaine lettuce are not old news from the outbreak earlier this year — it’s happening again. If you have romaine lettuce, whether it be whole heads, hearts, or cut up in a bag, the CDC is recommending to toss it out.

And…uh…maybe consider a nice spinach salad for Thanksgiving instead of the Caesar.

The annual fair just happened in my town and for whatever reason it triggers this craving for like: summer romance on a Ferris wheel and getting a smooch at the top whilst the sunset comes over and down.
