hi! would you share the fic where they sign and it's post julia's death?
hi! yes! The part about them signing post Julia's death is in the first chapter! I do recommend reading the full fic though as it is interesting seeing how Paul and the band navigate moving up/through the music world with Paul being deaf!

did you know that john lennon invented serving?
My headcanon about The Lovers That Never Were is that Paul pulls a No Words situation. Like in No Words -where he inserts a deeply personal thing we later (way after the fact) find that it was something John used to say to him- Paul throws in TLTNW phrases that are not his but Johns. Like, for instance, "if we can't be lovers we'll never be friends", that sounds sooo much like something 67/68 (specially 68) John would say. That kind of black/white yes/no relationship breaker.
But at the same time, the protagonist of TLTNW complains that the other person is running away from him and does not answer anymore, as if that person had thrown the stone and then hidden his hand, as if he did not want to take charge of the situation that he himself started. And that also feels like John hiding behind other people or not going to face to face meetings.
Anyway, TLTNW, nice vocals.
obsessed with this bit of paul twirling around in the alternative fool on the hill video in a way that is concerning
The Beatles jamming during the Rooftop Concert (1969)
such a small syntax thing but paul writing ‘john and i and yoko’ in this bit of the lyrics is soooo telling and crazy. even though grammatically it should be ‘john and yoko and i’ he still can’t bear to separate himself and john/give yoko credit before himself/see john and yoko as an entity. he’s literally putting himself in between the two of them, whether consciously or not.
He's a dark horse, running on a dark race course
A really cute picture of John with his girlfriend May Pang.
