But if the fluttering in her chest was bad, then the warmth in her stomach at the sight of his broad, well-defined body was mortifying enough to make her The Gray Lady’s new roommate.

Okay. That was, perhaps, a bit of an exaggeration. She wasn’t that starved for his attention—or any male attention in particular. She could be a perfectly respectful colleague of his, not a lecherous ogler.

“I’ve had some intel.” Sirius said, she could hear the nervous lilt in his voice. The anxious tap tap of his fingers against the rough wood of the kitchen table.

“Intel on what?”

There was a beat of anxious energy.

“Intel on what, Sirius.” James sounded angry,

“About the accident.”

“I told you. Every bit of intel leads to a dead end. Whatever you have I guarantee it’s useless.”

“I don’t think it is mate.” Sirius said gently, “Look, I need you to sit down.”

She heard the scrape of a chair against the stone floor.

“I’m not sure how to tell you this. I didn’t really believe it myself…” Sirius trailed off, “And neither off us are sure how to tell you.”

“‘Neither of us’? Who else is here padfoot.”

OMG I was rereading TRBTY (as one does on a Tuesday evening 😅) and realized that today, August 2, is the day James proposes to Lily 🥰 it’s also the day Lily Jones left him but we’ll focus on the more positive side of things haha

Haha I honestly hadn't thought about it! Rest assured, they spent the evening cuddled up on the couch with Harry and a bowl of popcorn with m&ms watching the latest Spider-Man movie (for obvious reasons). 🥰

I'm going to have to go with the supply closet scene in TRN. It's odd because I'm incredibly proud of it but at the same time also embarrassed. 🙃

Hands up if you were the child that read thousands of books and as an adult you hit burn out and now only read stories about the same 2 idiots falling in love over and over as you don't have the brain power to get emotionally attached to new characters.
