like i'm sorry but we as a fandom have to stay firm on our anti-AI values. we cannot suddenly start giving AI a pass when it's something we "want to see" like destiel kisses. it's not suddenly fine. we're not going to start using AI to make fanfic scenes come to life or audio AI to make characters "say" stuff we want to hear. you have GOT to be firm on your anti-AI stance. if you start making exceptions then suddenly anything will fly. fandom is for real art and creations made by real people. no AI fanfics. no AI art. no AI rendered "bonus" scenes. no AI audio. none of it has a place here.
Hi everyone!! I'm Ed, the artist behind bats in nappies!! Please feel free to talk to me, I'm very friendly!
But please keep in mind I struggle a lot with socialising, so if I say anything poorly worded or that upsets you just let me know and I'll correct it
You can find my commissions here (open):

Here are my sonas, you can refer to me by their names as well!
My favourite feeling in the world - running barefoot through wet grass in an evening rainstorm!
"mom's not home, you know what that means" walks around the house talking to the imaginary audience for three hours straight
Something that people seem to have no conception of, unless they've experienced it themselves, is how fucking isolating it is to not be able to eat a lot of foods that most people can eat.
"People with allergies just shouldn't go out to eat, because it's selfish to make your allergies other people's problem."
Humans like to eat. Humans like to eat when they hang out. Humans go out to eat to hang out. Eating is incredibly important in social situations. It's just a thing that we do. Not being able to eat in these situations is incredibly fucking isolating.
I remember being a kid, sitting in one of my social groups, watching them all eat pizza, alone, while I got nothing, because my social group leader forgot to get me something to replace it. Again.
And this shit still happens to me, even now.
Disabled people deserve to experience luxuries just like everyone else, including going out to eat. Safely.
"everybody hates me" factoid actually just a statistical error. The average person doesn't hate you, especially not your friends. You, a person who sits in your room experiencing self loathing every day, are an outlier adn should not have been counted.
okay but there is something disquieting about this urge to cast fan writers as altruists. they give us all this for free!! well, no.
they’re sharing
it’s a key difference in perception. fic isn’t given. it’s shared. it’s part of a fandom community— in which readers are also an integral part.
it’s probably inevitable mission creep from the increasingly transactional nature of the internet and fandom-as-consumerism, which was always gonna happen after corps worked out how much bank there is to make from those weirdo fan people
but like. fandom is sharing. i think we’ve lost that somewhere.
Having celiac/coeliac disease is so bizzare, like it's all casual that eating gluten will give me cancer or dissolve the inside of my intestine so it can't do anything and I'll starve to death even while feasting like a king like I'm in some kind of Lovecraftian horror... and then everywhere I turn people are making "hehe this person is sooooo annoying for being gluten free" jokes
AI under capitalism
