Do you notice how most recent Sinfest comic just don't have characters anymore. With the old Sinfest it had characters with clear defined personalities like Slick, Monique and Squigley while the newest comic characters don't even have names and either incredibly bland or just antisemitic stereotypes.
It's kind of poetic, the way racism replaced his comic piece by piece, illustrating how much hate consumed him. This year, he didn't have a New Year's storyline. The year 2024 just kind of stopped being in the comic and hasn't been acknowledged, and there wasn't even a "Happy New Year" strip, I waited until the first Sunday of the year and it's just literally burning a trans flag and locking up The Jew. Even the art is bad, completely devoid of all the cartoony charm it once had.
This strip is often posted as "the finale of Good Sinfest", and it's not that he doesn't make strips like this anymore, he can't. He's no longer capable. Those skills are gone, that man is dead. Sinfest as a comic hasn't existed in years, and the comic on it's web site doesn't even superficially resemble it, and the man who makes that comic doesn't even superficially resemble the man who made Sinfest. There's just nothing left of that guy any more.
When Everything Everywhere All at Once said “The only thing I do know is that we have to be kind. Please, be kind, especially when we don’t know what’s going on"
When the Good Place said "Why choose to be good every day when there is no guaranteed reward now or in the afterlife… I argue that we choose to be good because of our bonds with other people and our innate desire to treat them with dignity. Simply put, we are not in this alone.”
When Jean-Paul Sartre said ”‘Hell is other people’ is only one side of the coin. The other side, which no one seems to mention, is also 'Heaven is each other’. Hell is separateness, uncommunicability, self-centeredness, lust for power, for riches, for fame. Heaven on the other hand is very simple, and very hard: caring about your fellow beings.“
So, have you made any friends recently? I'd love to meet them if you could introduce me to them!
I have only one friend, his name is Poot and he's a pink bunny! We spend time together very often and we love each other's company :)
I turned 19 yesterday. In 1918, I would be married by now, but maybe not because the men would be busy dying in the trenches and being gay. I could also be like that one who just stayed in her house and wrote poems all day (Emily Dickinson)
were under assault by ratmen molemen dogmen birdmen wolfmen beetlemen and scorpionmen
why do the ads on tumblr want me to drink olive oil
same, this was the beginning of the end for me
Opinions on these guys from Bolt (2008)
(I showed the last shot so you can see their weird freaky cat claw gloves)
n next que question [visibly shaking]
I think the stormtroopers would still win. They have superior firepower -- blasters pack a punch, especially when their enemies aren't wearing any armor -- and they have extra mobility if you consider jumptroopers (the dudes with the jetpacks, who also exist in canon) and scout troopers with their speeder bikes.
I don't think that blaster bolts in Star Wars experience notable bullet drop -- their trajectory seems to be straight -- though because they're made of plasma they probably lose their "shape" and velocity before they can go far out of trajectory if they go far enough without hitting anything.
That in mind, though, their blasters are probably more accurate.
Also, I think the sturmtruppen's tactics wouldn't work well against the Empire's stormtroopers, as the Empire's stormtroopers have tactics similar to theirs except they have better tech and more efficient communication (comms in helmets). Gas probably wouldn't work against them because of their helmet filters. If both sides have artillery, the (Galactic Empire's) stormtroopers are 100% winning.
As we see in the movies, the Empire's match in tactics was actually guerilla tactics, not being fought head on or trench warfare (which we see a bit of in Solo.)
Also I guess it depends on how you want to see the stormtroopers in Star Wars, but I feel the general consensus is just that the protagonists have mega plot armor when it comes to them, and them not being able to see in their helmets isn't canon, just a gag (some people have explained it away as the helmets' extra features allowing more visbility to cease functioning when removed improperly -- I think this might be a thing in the Legends/EU but not canon?)
But yeah Long Live The Empire
I have a question I have been debating. In a one on one battle on a battlefield, which army would win, Star Wars Stormtroopers or WW1 German Sturmtruppen? The Stormtroopers have better tech but the Sturmtruppen use better tactics.
