There Are, In Fact, People Who Would Bring The Sky Down For Their Platonic Friends.

There are, in fact, people who would bring the sky down for their platonic friends.

Romance is not ABOVE friendship and platonic relationships. It exists on the same level, just in a different color/shape/flavor. People need to stop saying, 'Let's take our relationship to the next level' when talking about romance. Seriously, let's not act like friendship and other relationships outside of romance aren't important.

I'm thinking about Justin Duarte seeing Madoc and immediately deciding to cut him down with an axe.

He didn't even try to apologise and talk it out. Of course, he thought Madoc would be angry and though that killing him would do the trick, but did he literally consider the fact that his daughters were there at the time? Did he actually think that Madoc was so dangerous that killing him right in front of 3 little girls was better than trying to talk it out and apologise?

Of course, we know Madoc's an honourable person, but Eva and Justin did dishonour him by pretending to die and then running away with Madoc's child, no less (Though Eva and Justin were also her parents. They raised her for 9 years).

Did Justin really think that Madoc was so angry that he'd kill both of them right there and then in front of 3 little children even if he tried to talk it out?

Eva was already talking with Madoc. Madoc hadn't killed her yet. Did Justin think that Madoc would be angry enough to kill him if he saw him (Justin) because Madoc loved Eva, but he didn't love Justin?

Did he not think at all because everything happened so fast? Did he not think it out properly because the whole sequence of events was too rushed?

We get to know Madoc, but it's through Jude's perception, and that's very different from Eva and Justin's perception. How did Justin and Eva see him? What stories did they hear? How did his interactions with them view their perception of him?

I really wish that Holly expanded on their relationships, because it would make this scene much more interesting.

What are your thoughts?

I really don't understand why Thalia had to fight the monsters and sacrifice herself for Luke and Annabeth RIGHT ON THE BORDER OF CAMP HALF BLOOD.

Literally WHERE were Chiron and Dionysus? They knew that getting Thalia to camp was very important-hell, why didn't Chiron himself search for her instead of letting an inexperienced satyr guide her?

Just another one of Rick's terrible writing choices that make no sense. This has been bothering me for a long time..........

Does anyone just really like platonic SoTam? Because Sophie with all the other boys just feels wrong and annoying due to the romance thing, but Sophie and Tam? Only platonic.

I'm a SUCKER for boy-girl platonic relationships and friendships. I love those. Shannon, more SoTam, please?

You should look into your country's national suicide number and call them. They can help you and it will be good for you to talk to someone who is trained to help people like you. Please don't make a mistake by taking your own life. God bless you. I'm praying you'll get the support you need.

Thanks, but I'm not sure if I would call myself suicidal. That seems somewhat extreme, though given my posts I understand why you'd call me that.

It feels like I'm at an impasse in life due to certain reasons and given my circumstances, I don't think my future will be that good, especially with the way the world's going.

I'm not really the typical image of suicidal and I don't often think about death as much as some suicidal people do-it just feels as if my death wouldn't be that bad because there doesn't seem to be much for me in life anyway.

Honestly, talking of suicide hotlines-what would I say? What would we even talk about? My life? They're not really a therapist. And I'm not that suicidal anyway. I'd really just be wasting their time.

Thanks for the message anyway. I think I really need to help myself, which I don't know how to do.

Realistically speaking, there would definitely have been a Hades cabin

Ok, so I know that the whole 'Hades is excluded and looked down upon' plot in the OG PJO series was interesting, but I just wanted to say-

Realistically, there would most certainly have been a Hades cabin at Camp Half Blood.

Hades was a feared god. People were scared to death by him (figuratively). But he was also hella respected. No one wanted to anger Hades, because he would have your soul for eternity and if he didn't like you..........not a nice way to spend the rest of your afterlife.

People worshipped him. They were scared to speak his name for fear that he would hear and kill them early. They respected and worshipped him because like all gods, he would get angry if they didn't.

So when Camp Half Blood was made, they would most certainly have dedicated a cabin to him out of fear and respect.

It didn't matter if he didn't have any demigods. They would build it for him out of respect, like Hera and Artemis. He was a major god in Greece even if he wasn't an Olympian.

And his demigods would be feared, but they would also be respected. No one would actively exclude them for fear of Hades or his children getting angry.

Not trying to criticise or hate here, just posting my honest thoughts. Feel free to debate with me.

How Bianca thought that she was parentified

Ok, so, regarding the Nico and Bianca situation in PJO. So, people argue against the parentification of Bianca. First, her memories were wiped, then she and Nico were taken to the Lotus Casino, which made them forget all their worries! How could she have raised him then? And, yeah, you're right. But, hold on, we know that they were taken out of the Lotus Casino sometime after TLT. Now, they in there for 70 years. We don't know their reaction to modern technology, but I'm pretty sure that they DEFINITELY weren't used to it. Kids their age (biologically speaking) would know how to use basic technology in that era, and they didn't. Hell, they barely knew anything. Their syllabus was probably different, too. And can you imagine being snapped out of a month-long fun vacation, having to leave the literal LOTUS CASINO, and then being told that for a second time that hey, your parents are dead, but don't worry! They left a HUGE trust fund for you! Well, a trust fund wouldn't be enough to alleviate Bianca's fears. She and Nico only have each other right now, and yeah, they were in different dorms and classes, but is that really enough? Like, imagine your parents are dead, and you go to a hotel to have a month long fun vacation, but suddenly YOU'RE RIPPED OUT and then you remember that and you have a younger brother to take care of, and now you're in a whole different era and you don't really KNOW anything, you don't know what to do, what to study, maybe you're even falling behind in class. And now you know that sure, there might be a trust fund, but how long till it runs out? And then you'll have to fend for yourself AND your brother. It's just, I think being thrown into a whole new era really subconsciously affected Nico and Bianca in a bad way. I think Bianca thought that she was somewhat parentified because their parents were dead, and the trust fund wasn't eternal, and one day she'd have to fend for Nico and herself.

If you want to argue, please do.

The Small Fandoms

Can we just get some love for the small fandoms? The tiny ones? The barely there ones, with people who've read the books, but can't find anyone else who has, even though there are people out there?

Ponniyan Selvan, The Dandelion Dynasty, The Inheritances Games, Jeeves, Snow Like Ashes, Raybearer, Enola Holmes, Sheena Meyer (LITERALLY NONEXISTENT) Murder Most Unladylike and others (add them in the comments)

Idk how to say this, i agree with you and other that percabeth isn't the healthiest couple at all (to put it lightly i think) idk if the fandom made it up or something but isn't it said a lot that percabeth inspired was by rick own relationship like he's percy and his wife is annabeth, does this mean he's also in a toxic relationship, idk just a random thought that crossed me and had to share cause idk sorry if this is random!!!

This isn't random, don't worry.

I also thought like that, but I don't want to be to disrespectful to Rick Riordan and his family. There's a bit of a line, and I don't really want to cross it.

Rick did base Percabeth on his relationship, yes. But Thing A that's based on thing B isn't always exactly like Thing B. And honestly, I don't know anything about Rick's relationship with his family, so I'm not assuming anything at the moment.

Sorry if I felt rude to you-I didn't mean to be rude. I just don't want to cross this line honestly.

One of the worst things that Jude and Vivienne did

Ok, so this is something that's never been talked about-at least I haven't seen anyone talk about it-and I really want to talk about it.

So........during TCP, Jude tells Vivienne that she wants her (Vivienne) to take Oak to the mortal world and raise him with Heather.

And Vivienne and Heather are 19 during this, they're just teenagers who are barely adults, and Vivienne agrees. Heather isn't happy about it, but she agrees in the end, and Oak isn't too bad to raise? (Not sure about the last part)

But.......moving this aside, can we talk about the fact that Jude and Vivienne put Heather and her family's life in danger?

You're probably really confused right now. Just keep reading.

We the readers and most faeries in TFOTA KNOW that Oak is the heir to the Greenbriar throne, which puts him in an incredibly dangerous position, because many people will come after him and try to kill him or use him.

Now just to be clear, this apartment isn't Vivienne's apartment. Yes, Vivi lives there, but this is Heather's apartment, it's under her name, she owns it, Heather's parents bought it for her. It's canon that Heather could kick Vivienne out if she wants to.

Jude has guards watching the apartment because it's dangerous and people could try to come after Oak in the mortal world too. And they could also come after Vivienne and Heather, and by extension, everyone and anyone that Heather cares about.

Do you see where I'm going with this now?

If Jude had guards watching the apartment, it's very likely that enemy faeries would be watching it too, and they would notice a certain pink haired mortal girl living with the important heir of Elfhame, and they'd take note and observe her and her movements, and her parents and friends and everyone she cares about.

The faeries could've killed Heather and her family. Having Oak there may have taken him out danger (he was relatively safe) but it put Heather and by extension everyone she cared about in a whole lot MORE danger.

THIS in my opinion was the most horrible thing that Jude and Vivienne did in the series.

I'm not sure if Holly Black thought about this while writing TFOTA-I don't think she did, but I did, so I'm sharing it with you.

Apollo WOULD NOT let Will go to Tartarus

I don't know if Apollo made an appearance in TSATS, but if he did, he was probably butchered too, because Apollo WOULD NOT let his children go to Tartarus.

If he heard what Will and Nico were up to, he'd kidnap them and put them safely in his sun palace. He'd be like, 'OH MY GOD. NO YOU'RE NOT GOING. LEAVE THIS TO ME.'

He'd try to talk to Hades about rescuing Bob, but if he learnt that Hades was the one who sent the message?

Boy oh boy....................RUN FOR COVER.

Los Angeles wouldn't just have an earthquake, it would be decimated entirely. Apollo would not hold back, not even if Hades was one of the Big Three. Multiple gods would have to intervene, probably.

'WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU SENT YOUR OWN CHILD TO TARTARUS YOU ABSOLUTE (REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED). AND MY SON WAS GOING TOO? YOU LITTLE (REDACTED)-'

Apollo would not let Will or Nico go Tartarus. No way in hell.
