annual redraw of my first piece ever to celebrate 5 years of digital art (holy moly)! thank you so much for 1k :)

rambling a bit, but i can't believe it's been half a decade already since i first picked up a stylus and created the monstrosity on the far right!

i've struggled throughout the years with loathing my own work, comparing myself to others, and so much more; but looking back now, there's consistent growth—and that's all that matters.

to all other artists out there (or non-artists) dealing with something similar: yes, there will always be more to learn ahead, but don't forget to be proud of how far you've already come once in a while! no matter how stagnant it might feel at times, where there's passion, there's progress.

see you next year, girl & cat; aven out!
