Joker 2 is spiteful mess. I understand the message perfectly fine. It’s still not a good delivery of the message. Especially since Arthur only drops his Joker persona shortly after being molested.
I’m quite disgusted with that sequence of events. Joker 2 continues the trend of sequels being spiteful messes.

For the love of Chaplain , will these pretentious directors get off their high horse? You should be grateful that your film succeeded on such a small budget. Especially when your two previous films were Grown ups 3 and The Road Trip.

It’s very unfortunate that there’s a section of the internet that believe this behavior is normal and justified. No matter what you do you’re beholden to a permanent unpayable penance to them. It’s a disgusting thing to do and expect of another person.
One part of being subjected to long term online harassment is that your abusers expect you to conduct yourself with some sort of higher honor, like a social media varian of "You go high, we go low."
"You can't copyright strike videos that steal from you to profit off you!"
"You can't mass flag harassment!"
"You can't call your stalkers horrible names!"
But like... why?
Why shouldn't I do all of that? You're going to act like I'm a monster and subject me to horrible abuse no matter what I do. You will literally never stop. You're already lying about me and you expect me to believe that I have the power to make you stop by capitulating to your demands? I could be on my best behaviour for the next 20 years and you'll still be doing this shit.
So what reason do I or anyone else have to not do all of those things?

Because people obsessed with celebrities find the weirdest things to obsesses over. I wouldn’t be surprised if it lit up the same area of the mind as love. Very parasocial.
It’s wild to me that people complain when people turn off replies. Social media has really conditioned people into believing everything requires a response and pointless debate. Sometimes people want to say something without being subjected to others wild misunderstanding of their statement. Sometimes things need to be said without an “erm actually” being thrown into the comments section. If anything replies being turned off has killed trolling and trolls see the most pissed off.
Can we talk about how those “easy open” bags are 90% of the time harder to open these days? Like WTF 😬 why did someone screw that up?!
