Another "Hey, Koo!" haiku comic, worded by Kalia Armbruster, arted by me. This one got a bit intricate, what with all the lazers, although I am getting a lot quicker with the pencil art sketches that are used mostly wholesale for these panels - scanned in and digitally inked. Kalia and I have been working on some backstory stuff for Koo and are going to start doing "artist inserts" every fifth release which should hopefully flesh out the character and the world. More soon!
Hadn’t seen this one before, very tense and creepy. Poor bunny.
Legends of Rock #02 - Neil Young
Next up, the most American Canadian ever to grace us with rock and roll music. There isn't a whole lot I can say about Neil Young other than the man's a true Legend Of Rock and his run of 5 albums from 68-74 is unrivaled in my estimation of rock singer/songwriters.
A Neil mix for proof of prowess.

Working on some illustrations for a site redesign - rotating banner style. Hoping these will liven up the brand and make it a bit more personable. This one is about thinking, reading spread sheets, and weighing the pros and cons before commenting. You can't see it, but that spread sheet goes to next week.
Bird 4: House Sparrow
The ultra-common, often ratty, occasionally cute House Sparrow. These guys are all over the states, and Brooklyn is no exception. Commonly found fighting pigeons for bread.
Finally got around to making some art for my bocce team: Texas Forever. We roll every Sunday which means we lose every Sunday, but hey, we have fun doing it. I think if we get this on a shirt, no one will want to beat us or will just fall in love with us.
New art for a new mix, filled with 70s and 80s pop from The Other Side. Many of these artists have become fast favorites of mine (especially Akiko Yano, Miharu Koshi and Dip in the Pool). No 80s Japanese pop mix would be complete without YMO, as described in the album art. Anyway, enjoy! Visit my site! Visit my new, pretty blog!

Graphic Booklet: Sample Page
The comic is coming along. I have now entered the digital stage, which means less drawing outside and more late nights at a computer. But, I think it is looking good. These colors kind of came out of nowhere, as I was planning on a mostly black and white comic with orange as an accent. We’ll see how it shapes up - I’m still in the very early stages of inking/coloring. More soon.
Phone Pixels
Remember those many months in which all I did was pixel art? I hardly remembered, but this week I re-engaged in a project that is exclusively pixel art. It’s an incredibly different kind of illustration. If you fight its natural blockish restrictions, it can feel like having ten thousand spoons when all you need, really, is a knife. But in this case, I figured out spoons were just right.
