Hey guys!
I just reached 100 followers, so let me introduce myself!
I’m Anna! I’m 24, I was born and raised in New England, and continue to make it my home to this day. I have two beloved cats, a puppy who rules my world, and a fiance I can’t wait to marry this October. My favorite poets include Sylvia Plath, e. e. cummings, and Allen Ginsberg. I have dreams of publishing a few small collections of poetry I have on the back-burner, some still in progress. Fingers crossed something happens with those in the near future!
To my followers, I want to thank each and every one of you for following my writing journey and supporting me along the way. It means so much to me when you like, reblog, or message me your comments, compliments, and critiques! You make my world go ‘round! :) Many of you are on similar journeys and reading each new poem from such talented writers and poets is an amazing inspiration and motivation for me to keep writing. I hear sweet lullabies in your laugh
even when you find it too rough, too loud.
I still believe your eyes shine brighter than the sun
even when you're on the verge of breaking down.
I still know that flowers grow from your skin
and that life exists from within
even when you pick them out like they're a sin.
I still see summer in your smile
and hear spring in your sigh
even when you think it's dead season in your life.
I still love you for you
even when you don't love yourself too.
