NOVA TWINS

This is the first small gig I went to & I think it was a pretty good introduction. I had only heard a couple of their songs when we went as I was accompanying my sister, who the tickets were a Christmas present for. I thoroughly enjoyed myself - we were able to use the fact that we're short to our advantage and make our way to the front to avoid getting crushed by the crowd and people let us do so with ease. We've found, since, that people are a lot friendlier at the smaller rock & metal gigs. There was also no barricade or anything similar in front of the stage so we were right against it at the corner so we were just underneath one of the main speakers (hence the angle of my photos).
It was almost this time last year that we saw them live, and now, they're nominated for two BRIT awards. I think that they're an amazing rock duo and even though I don't actively listen to their music, I'm looking forward to seeing their progression as two women of colour in a genre predominantly dominated by males.
when taylor said “midnights become my afternoons” that was for the girlies who stay up late and lose sleep because it’s the only time you can truly relax and have “me time”

DYLAN - MIXTAPE MEET & GREET
26.10.2022 @ HMV Vault, Birmingham (Unknown Capacity)
Written Feb 2023
This was the second time I'd seen Dylan live. It was only a small show with 3 songs off of her upcoming mixtape done acoustic as the mixtape was due for release later that week. I liked that it was a small, intimate show in the middle of a HMV. It's shocking how many people showed up - there was probably the same amount of people there than at the show in February which really shows how much she’s grown her fanbase in such a short amount of time.I also got to meet her again and was able to show her an alternative cover art concept my (graphic designer) sister, @artbyamixx had made, which she loved.
