Hi, I saw your post about art requests and I wanted to know if you could do a fusion between Deku and Bakugou please.

Ahhh- Sorry it took me forever to get to this request! It is lowkey cause I had wayyy too much fun with it and have been looking for an excuse to show off my spin on a BKDK fusion AU :DD

Anyways, here's my goober! I imagine he'd go by Katsuku. His quirk is called "Fuse" and is an iteration of blackwhip except he's able create explosions from the ends of the tendrils. I have like a bajillion headcanons/ideas for him ngl, so expect more of him later hehe :3

I know a lot of people (myself included sometimes) love versions of Katsuki (especially post-war) where he has a big group of friends/actively is a beloved member of the class, but there is something about withdrawn, asocial Katsuki that is so special to me. Like, Katsuki that has grown-up with the fear that having friends means having more people that might abandon him if he's "not good enough". Katsuki that doesn't know how to take up space in a room without shouting or lashing out to prove he's there (and thus, after the war and becoming less loud, becomes strangely quiet cause he doesn't know how to enter a conversation). Katsuki who sees every act of kindness from a stranger or acquaintance as an act of pity, terrified they see through the false confidence he has. Katsuki that's used to people being repulsed to him when they first meet him and never being given a chance. Katsuki who clings to people like Kirishima and Izuku, and would risk his life for them, because they closed the gap between them, because they picked up the slack and forged the beginnings of friendship because Katsuki was never taught how to, because (much like Katsuki feared) they saw that insecure person Katsuki was hiding yet still wanted to love him.

Maybe I'm just going crazy and lowkey this makes no sense but: Does anyone else feel like Katsuki's hero name was supposed to eventually become Kacchan?

Like between the fact his hero name is undecided for so long, the whole monologue we see Jeanist give him in the Christmas episode (I'm paraphrasing a little here, but it's something a long the lines of "Your hero name is a wish. It's how it should be, or how you want to be."), and the fact he actively calls himself "Kacchan Bakugou" (not to mention the beautiful parallel that would be drawn between the fact he gave Izuku the name "Deku" and Izuku gave him the name "Kacchan"). Again, maybe I'm thinking to hard about this, but narratively it makes so much sense to me-
