I had a daydream that Thrawn got thrust back into the Acendancy and they have a punishment for murderers. Two cuts on his cheeks (like Indigo Montoya). They marked him and whipped him. And then my mind went wild, and they stripped him of his family name, honorifics, and status with ways to earn them back after paying penance.

But the sad part was that he believed that he deserved it.

i had a dream that tim z released like an “extended version” of lesser evil that featured a handful of extra chapters at the end. the dream was so vivid that my first thought upon waking up was “omg i can’t wait to finally read that!”

the extended content was pretty dark and heartbreaking. apparently there was more to thrawn’s punishment than just exile: he was to be publicly tortured - not to death, but still. something akin to being tied to a cross for three days. his allies suggested he should run, but it’s thrawn, so he surrendered willingly. the other things i remember are more fragmented - a scene with a forest and a lake, a dam in that lake; thrawn underwater, struggling to swim upwards.

in the dream i also drew this fanart of thrawn holding che’ri who is clinging to him, so of course i decided to recreate it (i love drawing things that come to me in a dream. it makes me feel powerful.) something scary was supposed to happen to che’ri though i don’t know what, and in the epilogue she was shown many years later, married and with kids, and still remembering thrawn and honoring his legacy.

i’m glad it was just a dream because it was very much grim and dark, but if it was real it would be an intriguing thing to read. anyway i’ve literally been thinking about this dream all day so i hope yall enjoy this little art and what my thrawn obsessed brain has produced in my sleep.

OCC Thrawn, Thurfian redemption arc, random idea!

Coming Home

Snow drifted past them all, sticking to their shoes and hair. His nose stung with the prickle of cold, his shoulders ached, and his hands began to numb. But Eli did not notice as he looked up at the face of the former Grand Admiral who stood before him, his head bowed, hands clasped behind his back. His red eyes were closed as tears trickled down the planes of his face, and Thrawn was smiling. A feeling of relief settling in his bones.

A Chiss with a general air of distain and wariness moved forward, an embroidered cloak, a sun on each shoulder, secured with a golden tassel moved forward and into Thrawn's line of sight.

“Exile.”

His eyes lifted up, tears still flowing freely.

“Thurfian, Patriarch. You are the one who called for my exile. Rest assured that whatever lesson you wished to instill in me, I have learned tenfold. I wish only peace upon the Chiss. But I understand our ways.” He fell to his hands and knees. “But please, if you are to kill me, shoot me now, so that I may not know a single more day away from Her.” Thrawn's finger curled around the snow beneath his palms, as if to soak up as much of the cold of his mother world as he could.

Thurfian, the Chiss, took a step back. His red eyes widening by a fraction. His head tilted to the others, military and political leaders alike, before turning his eyes once again to the Chiss before him. His shoulders slumped.

“Mitth’raw’nuruodo …” he stopped, and took a breath, he squared his shoulders, “My brother, you will not die today.” Thurfian unclipped the cloak from his shoulders and…and placed it on Thrawn’s.

“Welcome home, Mitth’raw’nuruodo. Welcome back to Csilla.”

Okaaaaaay! Wild theory time that many will say is totally incorrect!

But it is also just a wild mind tangent that I came up with. Now on with the theory!

Boba Fett is a feared bounty hunter, he's been in the game since he was 10 years old, since his father the great Jango Fett died.. He's good at what he does. He's respected and revered. But here's the thing...

Anyone could be Boba Fett.

Throughout canon many have been Boba Fett. In old canon the name Boba Fett was just alias used by Jaster Mereel. It wasn't until "Attack of the Clones" was released that anyone had even heard of Jango. And during "The Clone Wars" TV show, during the arc at the end of season 2, we see that no one can differentiate between Boba and the other clones.

So where am I going with this?

Is not Boba Fett.

Or...well...he might be.

Don't believe me? Neither do I. Here's some shaky proof:

Boba Fett was born in roughly 32 BBY and the show "The Mandalorian" takes place in roughly 9 ABY, which makes Boba Fett approximately 41 years old. During the events of "Attack of the Clones" Jango Fett is 44 years old having been born in 66 BBY (the beginning of the Clone Wars was in 22 BBY lasting till 19 BBY). During which time he looked like this:

Now YES, the actor has aged, Boba fell into a Sarlacc and is dealing with scaring, and he has spend the last 5 years on Tatooine (we all know how this goes for people...)

But this ⬆️ is the work of 20 years.

Case in point, I have a hard time believing that Boba and Jango are roughly the same age, I mean look:

One obviously hasn't aged as delicately as the other.

There's not really much that can explain this, we fans just look over it because we love Temuera Morrison so much (I love him too).

But who do we know who have accelerated aging that would explain this difference? The other clones, of course.

The clones (with the exception of Boba) were genetically modified so that they would age at twice the normal human rate, at 10 they were physically and mentally 20, and battle ready.

But they aged at twice the normal human rate, why would a 40 year old look 60 instead of 80?

Well there's a simple answer. Deceleration.

In the Republic Commando books, Skirata finds a way to slow the clones aging down to a normal human rate. Unfortunately nothing in canon has shown that this is possible, but as many have pointed out, Rex was looking really spry in "Rebels."

So it is possible that some 10 years after the war, a cure was found.

During the year 19 BBY the clones were roughly 26-28 years old, ten years later in 9 BBY when the "Kenobi" series take place, clones without decelerate aging would appear nearly 50 years old, and lucky for us we see a 501st trooper in a cameo:

Now, he's obviously older and grizzly, but he still more closely resembles the younger Boba Fett than Jango who is closer to his age physically.

I'm not saying that anything I've said here is definitive proof that the Boba Fett from "The Book of Boba Fett" and "The Mandalorian" is a Padmé decoy, far from it. But I am saying that there's enough here that there's a chance that it's true. Especially with the drastic personality change that we see from Boba in the original series, stern and serious, dangerous. A personality that even carries over into "The Clone Wars" and the Boba Fett young readers books, though technically Legends now. This new Boba is not the stoic and legendary bounty hunter we know, and that may be the point, but it won't stop me from theorizing.

Which is the real Boba? Are they all the same Boba? How many Bobas are there?

What if the Boba Fett we've come to know and love, isn't even the real Boba Fett?

Taking from Legends, Nuruodo is a family name. In this case it defines what we as humans think of, instead of a political family. A surname.

There is a planet near the Ascendancy, so close some would mistake it for being a part of it. Our world, Earth. During this time, it "discovered" by the Chiss and recognized as a colony.

Humans are as we know them, no remarkable traits, but with key differences from the Star Wars humans. They're thought to be cousins genetically.

The humans begin to integrate into Chiss society, though many are unhappy about it. The story focuses around the humans fight to be recognized as equals by the chiss. And their victory.

It also examines the joys and hardships of a interspecies marriage between a chiss and a human. And their eventual success.

I have one scene playing on repeat in my head:

It has been decades since humans first began the fight for equality, and progress has been made. The MC and her husband stand on a balcony in the Aristocra's Hall, with their three children behind them. All clothed in burgundy red.

An usher announces every being who enters the room. They are there to witness the induction of new merit adoptives into the Family. His loud and clear voice reads over their names on the list.

"Presenting, of the house Nuruodo, honored by the Great Family of Stybla,

"Raw'nuruodo, Grand Admiral of the Empire, Agent of the Acendancy.

"(Y/N) Nuru, Syndic of the Ruling Family of Mitth.

"Their sons, Mitth'icra'nuru, cousin of the Family, Junior Commander of the Chiss Expansionary Defence Fleet. And Mitth'ras'nuru, cousin of the Family.

"Their daughter, Mitth'aia'nuru, cousin of the Family, Lieutenant of the Chiss Expansionary Defence Fleet."

*Thrawn was sent to the Empire for 8 years, he was rewelcomed into the Acendancy as an Agent and retained his rank of Grand Admiral, it is a complicated ordeal. His wife, is Syndic Prime of the Mitth, and combined chiss and human tradition for her name. Thicran is their eldest son, and an officer of the CEDF. His sister Thaian, is three years younger and followed his footsteps to become an officer. Their youngest brother Thrasn, was named after their uncle, he was born ten years after his sister and is not of age at the events of the scene.
