Everytime I need to fake cry I think about Fives screaming for Echo at the Citadel.

I keep seeing Legends!Thrawn and Canon!Thrawn, with canon being dull and one dimensional, and legends being the only one with complexity. Did I miss the Empire Era and Acendancy books getting decanonized? Do people not know that they're canon? It makes sense if Canon!Thrawn only referring to Rebels. But what about Empire Era books and Acendancy because they're not Legends?

Instead of Anakin and his Jedi attachments going back in time,

It's post-Vader-Anakin and Vader's closest.

Anakin wakes up after dying and one of the unused droids/pieces of droid perks up and complains that all it's gun turrets are gone - The Executor.

The two of them get a transmitter working in hopes of anyone else who knows those as of yet non-existent comm codes will respond.

They get hits from:

~ Axxila (Firmus Piett - he's fine. He's fine. Everything's fine. It's fine)

~ Denon (Max Veers - his wife doesn't know him, his son doesn't exist)

~ Rentor (Thrawn, newly no longer Vurawn, does not know why the force dragged him into this but oh no he's the oldest, isn't he?)

~ Kamino (a very freaked out five year old Chelli Lona Aphra, newly decanted from "malfunctioning" Kamino tech that the Force coopted to grow her into existence nearly a decade early and a significantly less freaked out Boba Fett, squirming in his blankets and using a children's word sound toy to emphasize his displeasure with the situation ...also a very confused and alarmed Jango Fett who is pretty sure newborns aren't supposed to act like this and is very concerned about the daughter-shaped-thing a confused droid delivered to his rooms).

How is a nine year old slave supposed to respond to "what's the plan" when the plan is "turn on everything we worked toward and kill the emperor"? Or: that one where a former-murder-cyborg, his murder ship's AI, an admiral, a general, a double agent, a mad scientist, a crime lord, and a very confused bounty hunter make history. What could possibly go wrong?

I've been imaging this all day...seeing it written out made me cry.

“Thalias,” Thrawn rasped, after a while. “Samakro. It’s nice to see you again.”

The shorter Chiss opened her mouth to reply in kind, but her companion was faster.

“Oh, really?” he sniped, lip curling in obvious disdain, sunlight glancing off of his piercings. “I didn’t think we committed enough war crimes for you to feel truly at home here, isn’t that why you fucked off to Lesser space?”

“Samakro!” the shorter Chiss - Thalias - hissed, elbowing her unrepentant companion.

“Can you not give him a break for five minutes? He’s been- crawling about the wilderness, for who knows how long, and-”

“I don’t know, Thalias, did he give the literal war crimes a fucking break at any point over the last few years?”

“I-” Thalias trailed off, biting her lip. “Look, you have a point, but just- lay off for a moment, please.”

“Fine,” Samakro growled. “A moment. Then he gets what’s been coming ever since he decided rampant war crimes were in. Fuck, I knew he was- unorthodox, but this- what he’s done, Thalias? It’s unforgivable. It’s fucking unforgivable.”

“I know,” Thalias said, soft as ever. “But- please. Not now.”

“Fine. But only-” and that was directed at Thrawn, moreso than Thalias- “because you asked. Because, fuck that guy.”

Ezra blinked at Samakro, and glanced back at Thrawn, whose face was as pinched as he’d ever seen it, and he suddenly became acutely aware that Thrawn was- upset?

No, that wasn’t quite right, he was hurting. Who were these two people, this Samakro, this Thalias, that Thrawn held their opinions in such high regard?

Crosshair and Tech Twins Headcanon

They're both farsighted. Though Tech uses his goggles for his detail work, and Crosshair uses it to his advantage as a sharpshooter.

Before they earned their names Crosshair was 04 (oh-four) to Tech and Tech was Threesie.

Crosshair and Tech are both equally adept at split second calculations and memorizations. Tech uses them for his flying and Crosshair uses it for trick shots.

Tech is almost as good a shot as Crosshair. Crosshair trained him.

Crosshair can memorize anything if he puts his mind to it, he just doesn't have the patience usually.

When Crosshair chose the Empire, it took Tech weeks for him to speak more than absolutely necessary.

He's more cynical than he was before.

Wrecker and Hunter swore left and right that the two of them had some sort of telepathic link. Tech never believed in it, Crosshair did when Tech was the only one who understood him.

They're the exact same height.

They felt a connection even worlds apart.

Vurawn wondered often what his life would have looked like if he had taken the Mitth's proposal to be a merit adoptive all those years ago. At odds with the foul faced Syndic who had come to collect him? Surrounded by different friends than the ones he had now? On course for a successful military career? Certainly not here.

The Kivu were considered an obscure family by the majority of the rest of the Acendancy. As a Lesser Family, they had developed their own customs and traditions. They were more expressive than other Families, they valued art, each Kivu having their own favored medium. They grew up dancing and singing, it was uncommon for a Kivu not to be proficient in some instrument. They were an anomaly. A cultural hub in the midst of Rentor.

But what unsettled the other Families the most about the Kivu was their method for choosing their new Patriarch. While other Families elected their Patriarch democratically or the dying Patriarch chose their successor themselves, the Kivu title was passed down through blood. From Patriarch to their eldest child.

Vurawn had entered the military as a young male and had made it quite far for his time spent there and his Family name. Junior Captain. But he had other duties, and when news of his Patriarch's death reached him, he had to return to Rentor. He left his military career behind him.

And he found himself here. In a world where he was mentored by Thooraki himself, a brotherhood with a young Mitth, blossoming friendship with a sweet Syndic, a rivalry with a Prime. Ten ruling families instead of nine. A golden cape displaying his Family's symbol. And a title:

Patriarch Kivu'raw'nuru.

Is Audible worth it? I just want to finally listen to all of the Thrawn books (I love the snippets I've heard of Marc Thompson's voice), but will I actually save anything? Or would it be better to buy them individually?

But once I get these books, I'll probably never use it again seeing as I don't really listen to audiobooks.

If you couldn't tell this was me thinking outloud, I problem solve better when I'm speaking to someone else.

Real question: how tall are the Chiss to you? 

There are no official heights for like any of the Chiss and that is a shame. Thrawn is roughly 6′4″ we know this because of the great Lars Mikkelsen. I’ve always imagined Thrawn to tower over everyone else. Lanky beanpole when he was a teenager type. Ba’kif is probably right at 6′ and Ar’alani is the same height. Thrass is either in the upper 5′ range or lower 6′. He is definitely not taller than Thrawn, but when they stood side-by-side I always imagined him to only be a few inches shorter. So maybe 6′1″? 6′2″? Thurfian isn’t 6′, about 5′10″ or 5′11″. He’s considered on the shorter side of the average. Zistalmu is taller than him, possibly Thrawn’s height. Thalias is shorter than him. Anywhere from the 5′7″-9″ range. Samakro is right at 5′11″. Kharill is about 6′5″-6″. He’s slightly taller than Thrawn.

But that’s not saying that Thrawn is overly tall, in fact he’s surrounded daily by chiss who are taller than him (personal headcannon that chiss grow to nearly 7′ on average). It just so happens that the people he finds himself with are usually shorter than him. Going to the Empire where everyone is human is a little bit of an adjustment, he feels like he’s a towering over them all. And on average he is half a foot taller than them.

Omg...that is so beautiful. I think I'm going to cry again. And honestly I can't see it ending any other way. They'll never be the brothers that they once were, but the knowledge that they will be known as the saviors of Cybertron as they set out, and that it's Megatron who survives to tell their tale is beautiful. I think that he's the stronger when it comes to loosing someone he loves, especially if his last memory of him is as Orion and not the Autobot leader.

I just finished watching Transformers Prime (haven't watch the movie yet) and...when Bumblebee killed Megatron my heart just dropped, and I think that Optimus's did too. When it just panned over to him with his wide optics as he watched the light go out of Megatron's...I saw a glimpse of Orion there.

And with all honesty, I don't believe that he will be able to live without him. Megatron was his mission, in the beginning the war, before it was even a war, Megatronus was there, they fought together, they were brothers. Then the betrayal came and it became about saving his friend and his planet. Eventually Optimus started to just seek revenge, for his brother and for his home. But at the end, I think that Optimus still had hope that he could save him. He wanted to save Megatron. And that chance was taken away from him.

And for the past 4 million years! Optimus' every waking moment has been consumed by Megatron. How would he live once the mission was over? Who would he be? I don't think he's ready to find the answer to that, and I don't think he'll survive to find out. I don't think he can.
