Apparently Thrawn being your favorite character because you read all of his books before you even knew he was in "Rebels" is "beyond niche".
Actually I think it would be really funny if Thrawn makes contact with the CDEF and it’s fucking Roscu who ends up picking up the transmission. I just KNOW she would be like “You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me you ASSHOLE!! What are you DOING out here I will blast you into oblivion for trespassing in Chiss space fuck you fuck you” and Thrawn is just “I’m glad to see you haven’t changed I’m however Please help me I’m stranded and last I saw Ar’alani she wanted me to report in. I’m trying to find her.”
I don't really ship Thrawn with anyone. I enjoy him with Ar'alani, I think a relationship with Eli is beautiful, sometimes I even toy with the idea of him and Pryce, even Thalias. Any way it's tragic. But none of them I feel are a true fit. He doesn't strike me as the type to have a romantic partner at all, no matter how much I wish...
Just thinking about how horrified Thrass would become at what Thrawn turns into during the empire.
Thrawn wouldn’t understand it, thinking that his brother would be glad to join him... to become a family again.
"We served the same purpose in the Ascendancy," Thrawn told him, "We could do so again."
"This isn't what we served," Thrass would say, "This isn't who we are."
"It doesn't matter," Thrawn would reply, "We are the same, just as we were before-"
"I don't want to be like you!"
Thrawn's face turned grave, almost unrecognizable to the brother that only knew his kindness.
"That," Thrawn said finally, "Is your mistake... brother."
I promise I'm not a Thurfian apologist. It's just that he's an interesting, dynamic character and I desperately want Thrawn to be accepted by his people.
I'm crying...
The story of Megatronus and Orion Pax through music:
• "The Other Side" - Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron
• "Burn For You" - Barlow & Bear
• "Achilles, Come Down" - Gang of Youths
• "I Found" - Amber Run
• "To Build a Home" - The Cinematic Orchestra
• "What About Us" - P!NK
• "Walked Through Hell" - Anson Seabra
• "Castle On the Hill" - Ed Sheeran
• "I See Fire" - Ed Sheeran
I have 4 WiPs and I'm forcing myself not to listen to music and hallucinate because I know it can get So. Much. Worse.
And I need to finish these 4 first.
I've recently started getting really into DC but most of my knowledge comes from movies and TV shows. So I was wondering if someone could please help me figure out where to start with the Batman comics?
Crowley (drunk on a bar): sometimes I can't believe myself. I mean, I slithered here from Eden just to what? Hide outside his damned door?
Hozier (taking notes): tell me more...
It's in Treason! I just posted that particular scene. And I completely agree, Thrawn is the villain no doubt in my mind. But he's a villain in the way that we look back on war in our history and say that the opposing side was in the wrong. His ideals and methods may be villainous, but I wouldn't call him evil. He has reasons, he's a warrior.
I said it once and I'll say it again: Thrawn has a war to win and he doesn't have time to debate morality with himself.
I hope that this is the mindset that Thrawn continues to have in live action.
He may serve the Empire but he is still fiercely loyal to the Chiss people. I hope we see that.
Welcome, I have no consistency and will rant every few hours for weeks about a random topic and then not post for months 🙃
