This is literally me my whole life and only now we have started to find out I'm autstic 😅 Sudenly everything in my life and childhood makes sense lol.

Donnie is canonically autistic and has so much swag it’s unreal.

Donnie has helped educate people on autism and neurodivergence in general. He may or may not have been the driving force for my realization that I might be autistic. Donnie seriously changed my life with that piece of information.

Donnie is very realistic autistic representation. He’s just an autistic character who’s allowed to exist and exhibit autistic traits without being scrutinized for it. I love when he stims!

Donnie presents many autistic traits such as low empathy, monotone voice, sensory issues, difficulty with emotions and feelings, special interests and stimming!

In conclusion, please vote for the autistic turtle! Maybe it’s because I’ve been fixated on rottmnt and autism for the past seven months but I genuinely believe that he deserves to win. I hope that you can give Donnie the support he needs to win this competition with his clear superior autism swag! 💜💜💜

With the spirit in the weapon au what happened to them after shredder and since donnie got his Hamato ninpo do they get Hal?

Ahh that's the thing.... in the UK I haven't got access to season 2 😫 (Paramount only had season 1)

I'm loosely aware of their fight with shredder and about their ninpo, but don't know much. I'm trying to avoid spoilers for season 2 (although its been out ages) because I'm hoping ONE DAY I'll be able to watch it.

Have seen the film though lol.

Despite that, I'm pretty sure the other spirits would do anything to get Hal involved eventually, even if he is reluctant about it—though Hal would secretly enjoy the attention.

Hal would basically become some sort lab assistant for Donnie, and since Hal is pretty agreeable and hates causing problems for anyone, he and Donnie would get along quite well—of course Donnie has no idea he's there though, since no one can see the spirits.

That's all I can really say though 😅

imma say it again; Donnie is not only autistic, but such a good representation of it

i went on a long, detailed version of this bc i love my turtles and i REALLY love writing my thoughts out, pls bear with me

special, and I mean SPECIAL interests in what he loves (ex: his technology, like the man literally has his own lab for them). there was an episode where he lost his tech, and it shows how uncomfortable and worried he feels without them bc those were his comfort items and his passion

NOT apathetic -> rise conveys that Donnie has low empathy, where instead of showing no emotions at all, he can seem to be distant or uninterested, yet he just has a difficult time expressing those emotions unless it involves his hobbies and his family

there are a lot more clues into how his autism is so well-done, but i think these are the main signs.

this is proof of his autistic swag, please go vote for him in the autismswagsummit!! go donnie!!
