reblog if you’re gay because of ghosts
There is no secret or some hidden knowledge that Jedi were created under the heavy influence of Japanese samurai culture. Space warriors, servants of the government and state. And I had a thought “What if make designs more eastern influenced and still GFFA ’ There is result.
HAPPY MAY THE 4TH! ✨ TRUST ONLY IN THE FORCE | Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
I'd like to take a moment and appreciate Bail Organa - a man who without thought to his own safety rushes towards the burning Jedi temple to try to help, then takes it upon himself to try and find Yoda and/or any other survivors because he KNOWS the Jedi wouldn't betray the Republic.
He then without any hesitation adopts Leia, despite all the danger it would bring him and Breha (and Breha agrees to it), he loves and raises her as his own.
Despite the continued dangers of being a known Jedi sympathizer he remains in the Imperial Senate, secretly helping organize the Rebellion and introduces the Fulcrum program.
Then while his daughter is god knows where he immediately offers to rush to Tatooine to protect Luke since Obi-Wan isn't there. Even though this likely means Leia is hurt or dead.
Bail Organa is a hero, and I think one of the first true Jedi-stans!!!
I love the Organas!!!
rb for something really lgbt to happen to you too
white people who are part of a minority group (for example, lgbt) need to stop thinking they can speak for the entire group and minimize the intersecting oppressions that racialized minorities face. Put simply, you will never know what it’s like to be a black lgbt individual so stop making generalizations about lgbt experience.
By making generalizations, you’re erasing the fact that everyone experiences life differently based on their socioeconomic status. Stop erasing our experiences and our suffering within the lgbt community. Many black lgbt people are excluded from our white peers and otherized due to our skin color. A white person will never know that pain.
Acknowledge our pain, acknowledge our exclusion from your communities and use your privilege to amplify our voices.
(White people are definitely encouraged to reblog, but please don’t comment!)
Hey, non-disabled people (and/or disabled people who are still able to work).
If you've ever been like "I mean the system is broken, but is it really THAT bad?"
Or if you or a family member are like "These disabled people are just leeching off the system and something something Welfare Queens something something Cadillacs"
Or even if you just hear me shouting about esoteric bullshit like the In-Kind Support and Maintenance Rule and are like "Why do we even have that lever?"
John Oliver's most recent episode covers the harrowing world of disability benefits and I'd invite anyone who hasn't had to go through that process to watch it, because I think people should know what I mean
Anyway, harass your representatives in congress to pass the Supplemental Security Income Restoration Act and the SSI Savings Penalty Elimination Act.
It'd be life-changing for a LOT of people.
