This is Israel putting its genocidal concept of "shrinking civilians" to work, where Israel shrinks what it means to be a civilian by declaring everyone in Gaza to be a combatant, mainly because of their approximity to Hamas, by creating scenarios like this.
i know the wednesday novel is most likely queerbaiting, and itβs not fair - but thatβs not gonna stop me reading it. i know that they probably wonβt end up together, because this always happens. but in my brain they will.
i donβt understand why theyβd hire a transgender author who is known for writing queer stories if thatβs not what they were going for. people are acting as if netflix and MGM had nothing to do with the making of the novel. when the book is literally licensed by them, meaning theyβve GOT to know whatβs in it.
wednesday in the novel is clearly experiencing less-than-platonic feelings for enid, and yes, this may be queerbaiting, but iβm still gonna enjoy it. itβs closer than weβre ever gonna get in the show. (i wanna believe that im wrong, but idk - i feel like theyβd be too scared to, especially with a franchise such as the addams family. you know how people react when media βturnsβ things gay. its bad publicity, and they wonβt wanna risk it)
obviously i have no idea whatβll happen in the show, and we get no say over the final decision. i believe having both of them figure themselves out is a great opportunity for character development. imagine enid, whose parents (mainly mother, but her father doesnβt exactly stand up for her) express their disappointment, and enid figuring herself out is an excellent way for her to see that sheβs more than her parents judgement. (plus, i think the whole βconversion therapy for werewolvesβ was a metaphor. and the fact that girly wears the lesbian flag in jumper form) and wednesday, whoβs so adamant that sheβs unfeeling and will never fall in love - only for her to come to the crushing realisation that not only is she very much capable of feeling things, sheβs falling in love with her roommate. someone whoβs the complete opposite of her. i feel like itβs such a good opportunity for them to explore the experiences of queer youth, how it feels to recognise these feelings, and the anxieties that come with them.
idk, i canβt see them doing it - they arenβt that brave. i think itβd be good if they did, but i think they care too much about how the show is perceived rather than the characters (the main reason being including wednesday in a love triangle, when girly very obviously wouldnβt find herself in a love triangle - in any universe).
A new fundraiser has just been started to help a Sudanese health clinic.
As the rainy season starts, there's an increased risk from diseases like cholera and malaria. This clinic will be the only available health resource for 60,000 people.
The people behind it are very trustworthy, they've already been setting up gofundmes for food and healthcare in other places in Sudan.
I've tried to kick things off and I hope those that can't donate will help boost.

reading abt pauli murray..... forget he should've been at the club. he should've been on t
So I found Aaron Bushnell's reddit and went through his comments/posts. That young man was well read and stable as they can be. Nothing in his writings pointed to someone who was "unstable" or "brainwashed".
He held leftist and anarchist ideals. He belong to the ACAB subreddit. He recognized the evil of the US Military even though he himself was a part of it. He hated TERFS and called out fatphobia. He understood the dangers of white supremecy and the evils of capitalism.
He had a cat. He liked the show fleabag and played elden ring.
Apparently in his will he wants to leave any money in his name to palestinian relief funds. He was trying to find a new owner for his cat.
Rest in peace Aaron Bushnell. The world won't forget & we sure as fuck won't let the media paint you out to be some crazy conspiracy theorist who had no idea what he was doing.
