"average kon makes 5 nokones a year" factoid actualy just statistical error. average kon makes 0 nokones per year. anotheroneuserofmine, who lives in tumblr & makes over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

finding a fanfic you really like somewhere in the most hidden corner in your native language with your favorite way of writing and your silly little characters and seeing like "oh its only 8 chapters !!! whatever can be made out of this !!" and then seeing they're all so short and you're by 3 and the story hasnt started and going "well they'll introduce the characters soon right? very quickly at it too! i like me a speedy fic" and then noticing its done and you still havent seen your blorbos and going "owh. well they'll update soon right????" and seeing it was made in 2016 by magicalunicorngirl123 and last updated christmas 2017 by just a few words and they have only posted that fic in that fandom and nothing more... it all falls down on you to find another thing to seek your dead fandom's comfort in
sorry to all the rhythm thief fandom. i got too used to calling charlie a he/him at first that learning charlie was a she/her was like being thrown COLD WATER at the FACE. and then learning charlie was very transcoded was like being thrown HOT WATER at the FACE right after the COLD WATER at the FACE and i, honestly, have been thrown water of multiple temperatures for misgendering characters so i pretty much would rather call charlie......... charlie
I was listening to some jazz music recently and found this song "They Can't Take That Away from Me" (sung by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong) and after thinking about it for a while I thought hang on this fits Layton too perfectly
Lyrics:
The way you wear your hat
The way you sip your tea
The memory of all that
No, no, they can't take that away from me
The way your smile just beams
The way you sing off-key
The way you haunt my dreams
No, no, they can't take that away from me
We may never, never meet again
on the bumpy road to love
Still I'll always, always keep the memory of
The way you hold your knife
The way we danced till three
The way you've changed my life
No, no, they can't take that away from me
No, they can't take that away from me
i'm not crying, you are-
En resumen, Archie for the win.

The way most autism literature describes "literal interpretation" is often not at all similar to how I experience it. Teenage me even thought I couldn't be autistic because I've always been able to learn metaphors easily.
In fact, I love wordplay of all kinds. Teenage me was fascinated to learn all the types of figurative language there are in poetry and literature.
But paperwork and questionnaires are hard, because there's so much they don't state clearly. Or they don't leave room for enough nuance.
"List all the jobs you've had, with start and end dates." What if I don't remember the exact day or month? Is the year enough?
"Have you been suffering from blurred vision?" Well, if I take off my glasses the whole world is blurred, but I'm fairly sure that's not what the intake form at the optometrist is asking.
Or the infamous (and infuriatingly stereotypical) "Would you rather go to a library or a party?" What sort of party? Where? Who's there? I work at a library. Am I currently at the library for work or pleasure? Does it have a good collection?
It's not common figures of speech that confound me. It's ambiguity, in situations that aren't supposed to be ambiguous.
having Emmet and Ingo- who are, shockingly, very tall- team up with Tate and Liza- who might have THE smallest character models in the entire game- is instant comedy gold. those men could punt those children like footballs
