You know how Katrielle and Alfendi's games don't feel like Layton games? I've been thinking if that's intentional

I mean, first obviously they aren't Layton himself, but also, to me it really seems like they don't want to be like him or they don't want to be even associated with him

Just something I've been thinking about lately

The subject of Professor Layton “copycats” came up in conversation last night, so I gathered up the three examples that I know of off the top of my head.

May’s Mysteries and Doctor Lautrec are the two that most clearly borrow from Layton’s presentation, gameplay, and overall tone, setting, and theme.  Rhythm Thief is the most loosely connected of these three, with rhythm minigames!  And yet, it always struck me as very “Laytonesque.”

Does.. does anyone else see the resemblance between mother 3 and pl azran legacy. My original idea was "beady eyes vs older masked brother. Swordfight. Oughh does he older die after the revelation?? Does the mother.. Does the mother die... Did this all happen because older masked brother wanted to get revenge.." but i think i have connected more dots. I just don't now how yo explain it but ITS THERE
