LOGAN SARGEANT OVERTAKE ON THE WORD FREEDOM 🔥🔥🔥🔥
franco's engineer begging him to stop going to williams by bus 😭
last week franco said he thinks it's really silly to send him a car just for a 10 minute ride when he can easily take a bus and have a pretty cool view on the upper deck
Can I just say that some "fans" are just utterly disgusting. Some dumb fuck who not only broke a law I'm certain also invaded the privacy of GR so greatly I'm mind blown, I was scrolling on Tiktok when this piece of shit posted of video of GR at a urinal and then proceeds to talk about. I have reported the video but if you see it or anyone sharing the link please report ASAP can not believe in this day and age they can't even have this. Fucking disgusted
Wildcard entries are basically one driver from each race country, who get to race in F1 academy for the weekend. In Miami, the honor goes to Californian Courtney Crone who will race in car 77, supported by QVC.
She's 23 and has raced sportscars for the last 4 years, although she did race single-seaters before that, as well as speedway motorcycles. Some notable achievements of hers are winning the IMSA Diverse Driver Development Scholarship (2022/23), the Gorsline Company Scholarship (2021) and the Formula Speed Scholarship. She was also a nominee for the Team USA Scholarship and W Series.
She currently competes in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo NA.
The series will no doubt kickstart her return to single-seaters, as well as give her an entry into more international motorsports.
Best of luck to her this weekend!!
Missed the qualifying session for Jeddah? Can't watch it? Here's a summary of what happened:
Q1 + Pre-Quali
Zhou Guanyu will start P20 after a crash in FP3. Although the car was fixed with a minute to go in Q3, he didn't manage to pass the checkered flag and set a lap-time.
Carlos Sainz gets appendicitis, manages to get P7 in FP2 but takes a break for FP3 and Quali (and the GP too).
Ollie Bearman, who takes pole in F2 after qualifying P19 in Bahrain, gets called in as his replacement for the weekend and manages to get into Q2!
Verstappen sets fastest sector 1 in Q1, Stroll sets fastest middle sector and Bearman sets fastest sector 3.
Eliminated: Bottas, Ocon, Gasly, Sargent, Zhou (a repeat of Bahrain, basically)
Q2
Alex Albon, the only driver in Q2 without a teammate, on used softs
Hulkenberg loses power and stops by the track, a yellow flag is called
Alonso Fastest sector 1 and 2, Verstappen fastest sector 3 (both on new, soft tires)
Tsunoda outqualifies Ricciardo by half a second
Bearman, Albon, Magnussen, Ricciardo and Hulkenberg are eliminated, setting P11-15 for the GP in that order
Q3
Tsunoda and Leclerc without teammates in Q3
Verstappen fastest sector 1, 2 AND 3
Leclerc says the car "feels weird on new tires...difficult to drive"
Max Verstappen takes pole position again, his first ever pole at Jeddah but not likely to be his last. It's also his 34th pole ever.
Leclerc three-tenths behind him gets to start the race in P2. They share pole-P2 in qualifying for the fifth race in a row.
Perez comes in third fastest, Alonso fourth
5-10th fastest is set by Piastri, Norriss, Russell, Hamilton, Tsunoda and Stroll (in that order)
I’ve recently started watching F1 Academy and I’ve found it pretty good so far, so here’s a guide I made in hopes it gets more people watching it too. If you can’t tell, yes I’ve got a favourite driver, and yes it’s Doriane Pin 🫶🫶
Note: I made a typo on the last page; F2 win gets 40 points not F4 and the Formula Regional European Championship is FRECA not F3
Watching practice 1 rn and whoever this guy is, I hope him and his max verstappen bear have a great day
Re-read Daniel's players' tribute article from 2018 and I just hope he knows that he achieved this and so much more
