Lujan sketches (interacting with my babies))
I don't know where I'm going with this, but I wanted to try my hand at sci-fi/horror and came up with the idea of Eywa having enough and blessing Spider with the ability to turn humans into living plants or trees so that their bodies will restore what was destroyed by their bombs and fire. Spider keeps his power secret so that he'll have an easier time fulfilling Eywa's will without disruption or judgment. So far, he's doing a damn good job and with each successful death, grows stronger.
Here's just a teeny piece of what I have so far.
The first body wasn’t the worst.
Jake had seen enough death to be numb to it. But the more they found, the more that numbness cracked, replaced by something he'd forgotten.
Fear.
One soldier was still standing, his posture too rigid, too unnatural. His skin had gone pale, his veins blackened with something that pulsed beneath the surface like twisting roots. Thin green tendrils had erupted from his fingertips, curling toward the sunlight as if reaching for something unseen. His mouth was open in a frozen scream, but no sound would ever escape. His eyes, once human, had been overtaken by blooming petals as if the forest itself had bloomed through him.
Another body lay sprawled nearby, its flesh cracked open. Vines coiled through its ribcage, wrapping around the exposed bone, flowers sprouting where there should have been blood. A grotesque, living sculpture.
A warning.
Neytiri covered her mouth, her ears pinned back in horror. “This is not the work of Eywa,” she whispered, voice shaking.

"Neytiri can be understood: she hit the Spider because her daughter was in danger, her firstborn was dead, and Neytiri was furious."
Yes, it can be understood, but not justified. No matter how crazy she is, it doesn't mean that she can harm children. That doesn't mean she shouldn't have talked to Spider after the incident on the ship. This does not mean that this situation should be hushed up, as if she had accidentally pushed him instead of putting a knife to his chest.
Why, if Neytiri can be understood, then the Spider cannot be understood-"He betrayed Sally: he saved Quaritch, taught them the Na'vi language." True, but it's not a betrayal. The spider was in CAPTIVITY and was used as a tool to achieve goals (not only by the deja blu team, Neytiri did it too). He saved Quaritch because he was the only adult who really cared about him. Not because circumstances forced him to do it, but because he wanted to do it himself.
In the months Quaritch has spent with his son, he has achieved more than anyone from Hellgate or the clan. Quaritch saved the Spider from torture!
In just one film, it was possible to understand that the Spider is a merciful, kind and not at all cruel hero, despite the fact that not everyone likes him, he does not treat them with hostility. His own homeland is not suitable for him to live in, but no matter what, he would not trade it for any other place, even if it were 1000 times better.
And the Spider should have had real parents, not employees who were supposed to take care of it. None of the people thought about accepting it. Even Norm, who was ready for children (he literally adopted Omatikai's orphans), did not accept him. No one thought about him.
Spider lost almost everything he had or should have had.
Even his father has a lot of fans, despite the fact that he was clearly not a super hero.
It upsets me that people desperately don't want to analyze the movie (or analyze everything related to the Spider), they only have two arguments: "The Spider betrayed Sally" and "Quaritch said he didn't care about the Spider"
And obviously, it doesn't matter to them that Quaritch calls the boy his son in the rescue scene, and it doesn't matter that Quaritch was deceiving himself in the beginning. It was safer for Quaritch to show that he didn't care about the Spider, because otherwise the Spider would once again become the protagonist of a bad story, but this time related only to his father. As it already happened in the scene on the ship!
Even Neytiri understands that the Spider is important to Quaritch!
Oh, I didn't forget to mention that two adults abandoned a child in the company of deadly guys, didn't I? And no, arguments in the style of "they saved their children" are not accepted.
I apologize if something was unclear, English is not my native language.

This is Money Snake. She only appears every 312 years.
If you reblog her picture within the next twenty-five seconds you will have good luck and fortune for the rest of your life.
all of you making Avatar-Rio comparisons are wrong.
THIS IS NOT QUARITCH. Eytukan is Eduardo!!!! the father of the girl and leader of the tribe who is harsh and hostile towards the protagonist at first because of his human ways, but eventually warms up to him and accepts him.
Neytiri and Jake of course are Jewel and Blu. the beautiful girl from the rainforest who is very fierce and rooted in the ways of her people and who dislikes and mistrusts humans because they destroyed her home + the boy who was raised with human ways but eventually learns, thanks to the girl, how to follow her traditions (while still maintaining a lot of human traits) and whose human skills actually end up being helpful to fight and drive away the human invaders who are trying to destroy the forest for their own selfish economic gain
Tsu'tey is Roberto (childhood friend of the girl who seems like a possible love interest, but ultimately isn’t, he’s her father’s favorite and the better warrior who knows the ways of the clan/tribe, he’s at odds with the protagonist at first but ends up trusting him and fighting at his side)
the kids obviously (rip Neteyam i guess Rio predicted your death)
and this is Quaritch. it’s Nigel. the villain who is extremely skilled, proficient and cruel, who was believed dead at the end of the first movie, but returned to get his revenge (with a new gang) and followed the family into the jungle
yeah he doesn’t have white hair anymore. but it’s still him. look at the evil smile. same person
If you see this on your dashboard, reblog this, NO MATTER WHAT and all your dreams and wishes will come true.
