ESP || Hoy y siempre libres y rebeldes! Juntas somos más fuertes! Vivimos en un mundo globalizado donde es innegable que el supuesto género de las personas genera desigualdades en todos los ámbitos de la vida: salud, educación, mercado laboral, lenguaje, amor, libertad y autonomía, arte, familia,... Podría citar cientos de estadísticas que ponen los pelos de punta y no dejan lugar a dudas de cómo hoy en día, aunque hayamos avanzado en muchos aspectos, aun nos queda mucho camino por recorrer para llegar a una igualdad real. Desgraciadamente últimamente solo se da visibilidad y se habla del feminismo la semana del 8 de marzo pero todas vivimos con ello todos los días del año. Por este motivo, este año he decidido dejar de lado las grandes referentes universales de feminismo y en cambio reconocer a mis amigas, que a pesar de nuestras diferencias somos compañeras de lucha. We live in a globalized world where it’s undeniable that the people’s gender generates inequalities in all areas of life: health, education, labor market, language, love, freedom and autonomy, art, family,... I could cite hundreds of statistics that will make your flesh creep and leave no doubt about how today, although we’ve made progress in many aspects, we still have a long way to go to achieve real equality. Unfortunately lately we, as a society, only give visibility and talk about feminism the week of March 8, but all women live with it every day of the year. For this reason, this year I’ve decided to set aside the great universal feminist referents and instead recognize my friends that despite our differences we are fighting partners.

Vivim en un món globalitzat on és innegable que el suposat gènere de les persones genera desigualtats en tots els àmbits de la vida: salut, educació, mercat laboral, llenguatge, amor, llibertat i autonomia, art, família, ... Podria citar centenars d'estadístiques que posen els pèls de punta i no deixen cap dubte de com avui dia, tot i que haguem avançat en molts aspectes, encara ens queda molt camí per recórrer per arribar a una igualtat real. Malauradament últimament només es dóna visibilitat i es parla del feminisme la setmana del 8 de març però totes vivim amb aquest problema tots els dies de l'any. Per aquest motiu, aquest any he decidit deixar de banda les grans referents universals del feminisme i en canvi reconèixer a les meves amigues, que malgrat les nostres diferències som companyes de lluita. Ens veiem als carrers!

ES|| He hecho una nueva versión del caracolito enamorado. Hace muchísimo tiempo que tenia el esbozo y el apunte de color hecho en procreate y también realice una versión de la misma ilustración en formato vertical para la exposición de postales de @gallerynucleus . Además tengo pendiente una nueva versión donde quiero experimentar con mucho más gouache y menos acuarela! 🐌 En las imágenes podéis ver el resultado final, el primer paso con solo una capa de acuarela y gouache para el azul del fondo, y el esbozo. Por cierto recordad que si queréis tener o regalar una de las postales de la exposición aun las tenéis disponibles en la tienda online de la galería! EN|| I’ve made a new version of the little snail in love. It's been a long time since I had the sketch and the color tests made in procreate and I also made a version of the same illustration in a vertical format for the power in numbers exhibition at @gallerynucleus . I also have a new version pending where I want to experiment more with gouache and use less watercolor!🐌 In the images you can see the final result, the first step with just a layer of watercolor and gouache for the blue in the background, and the sketch. By the way, remember that if you want to have or gift one of the postcards from the exhibition, you still have them available in the gallery's online store!

ES || Hace un tiempo descubrí las palomas frutales… y me enamoré al instante de estos seres tan hermosos y coloridos que hay en el mundo. No sabia que habían pájaros con tantos colores ni con tantas combinaciones diferentes… Son increíbles!! Aunque no tengo la costumbre de tener un cuaderno de bocetos, cuando los descubrí, no pude resistirme a hacer pequeños bocetos rápidos y intentar plasmar sus colores brillantes y caras monísimas! ¡Estas criaturas son increíblemente hermosas! Ojalá algún día en lugar de verlos en imágenes pueda verlos en su hábitat natural. Mientras tanto, los seguiré investigando y dibujando en mis tiempos libres. 💚 EN || Some time ago I discovered fruit doves and I went down to a rabbit hole searching all the beautiful and colorful fruit doves there are in the world. There’re so many of them!!! Although I'm not in the habit of having a sketchbook I couldn't resist doing quick small sketches and drawing their bright colors and cute faces!! These creatures are so incredibly beautiful! I wish some day instead of seeing them in pictures I can see them on their natural habitat. 💚
