Hi there! A lot of you asked me about hair tutorial so here it is! I hope this will be helpful, it’s my first time doing a tutorial.
Let me know what you think and enjoy! <3
while asleep/cuddling, lekku will wrap around close partners’/bunkmates’ limbs (most often arms) or, if partners/bunkmates also have lekku, they’ll intertwine around each other
if lonely or stressed, someone’s lekku might curl around their own arms while they sleep
massive faux pas to touch lekku without explicit permission, as this is seen as an extraordinarily intimate gesture - some parts of the lekku are more Off Limits than others, i.e. the underside and close to the base of the skull
especially those two - underside and close to skull - are erogenous zones. no touching without explicit permission, and even then move with care - they are VERY sensitive
…which can also be used for fun :)
massaging lekku is one of the most intimate things one can do for a partner with lekku
on the other end of the spectrum: grabbing and yanking someone’s lekku can cause temporary swelling, hearing loss, and - if pulled very hard/for a prolonged period of time - can lead to permanent brain issues
lekku ‘socks’ (or lekku-warmers) for keeping lekku warm and/or cuddling/napping with a person with whom they don’t feel close enough to literally bare their lekku. good for cuddlepuddles, arguably the entire reason they exist in the first place
the fattier and longer the lekku, the more attractive they are to other twi’leks/togrutas - it’s a status symbol
there are cosmetic procedures to modify both of these
the oldest and most powerful clans have lekku-jewelry version of their clan’s kalikori - elaborate and intricately carved pieces of thinly hammered metal linked together with delicate chains and decorated with precious jewels
some of these are now too long to be worn without dragging onto the floor, and are valuable pieces of twi’lekki history that are stored in safe places across the galaxy in order to keep them safe
some of these kalikori headdresses and lekku jewelry can be seen depicted in ancient art on ryloth, and their physical counterparts still exist!
lekku can be used to stim! swaying, twisting, wrapping together, etc
a person might pull their lekku in front of their shoulders to stroke them for comfort
the sign of an extremely good liar is the ability to keep lekku utterly still during conversations, because otherwise it’s easy to get a general sense of the state of their emotions from how the lekku move
Togrutas are natives of the planet Shili, a world of dense forests, wild scrublands, and ever-growing urban areas. Shili is located in the Ehosiq Sector within The Expansion Region. The Togruta were discovered by 25,000 BBY. At some point in their history they established a major pacifist colony on the planet Kiros.
Togruta as a whole possessed a special affinity for the Force, though they had slightly less than the normal number of midi-chlorians. It was believed that this affinity was produced from their heightened spatial awareness imparted by their montrals and their role as hunters. Their sense of spiritual connection with the land also heightened their connection with the environment, thus leading to a greater ability to feel the Force. The species had contributed members to the Jedi Order practically since its beginning. A majority of the Togruta species within the Jedi Order were females, though males were not unheard of.
Togruta had a strong sense of unity and togetherness. On their native homeworld of Shili, they relied on each other and would band together to take a stand against the massive monsters that hunted them, such as the akul. It is said that the creatures of Shili most often attacked in groups, which was even more reason for the native Togruta to work together. While most of Shili was covered in the scrublands where the Togruta hunted their herbivorous prey, the Togruta lived in small communities in the forest valleys, where the canopies kept them out of sight.
Togruta were known for their habit of not wearing shoes; they believed that the land was spiritually connected to them, and wearing shoes cut themselves from a bond with the land. In the pack, every able Togruta was expected to contribute his or her own share, as any food attained was distributed equally. Togruta were also known for their belief that those who could not keep up should be left to fend for themselves, because that is nature's way. Other sentient species found this particular belief quite barbaric. Those within a pack who led had a difficult time with fulfilling their goals because of the risk of becoming individualistic. As hunters, the Togruta showed off the pelts and teeth of their game as a sign of pride and maturation. Special pride was taken in the teeth of akul that a Togruta had taken down as an individual. These teeth often were made into jewelry such as an akul-tooth headdress or a necklace, which also incorporated metals, stones, and pearls found on Shili. Other Togruta, such as Shaak Ti, wore the Togruta sash with their Jedi apparel.
Togruta had rusty skin tones ranging in hue from blue to red to green, with white pigmentation on their faces, and greyish lips. While not all had this feature, white stripes also adorned various parts of their bodies, including their chests, legs, backs, arms and montrals, which included the horns to the lower head tails. The pattern of stripes varied from individual to individual. This red and white pattern was a phenotype left over from their ancestor's camouflage that helped them to blend in with their natural surroundings, especially the red-and-white turu-grass which dominated Shili's scrublands.
Their heads bore two, sometimes three horns, with three, and on rare occasions, four big head-tails, whose stripes were darker than those of the montrals. Togruta had the ability to sense the proximity and movement of physical objects around them by means of their hollow montrals, which detected space ultrasonically. Young Togrutas' montrals and posterior head-tail did not fully grow until adolescence, when their montrals became curved and their third head-tail grew to the length of their two main head-tails. As predators, Togruta had sharp canine teeth, which they used to painlessly kill thimiars, their primary prey, causing the creatures' post-mortem death spasms. This gave outsiders the false impression that Togruta were venomous. However, Togrutas did nothing to dispel this misconception and even took advantage of the intimidating presence it gave them.
A typical Togruta stands 1.7 meters or 5.6 feet tall and weighs 75 kilograms or 165 pounds.
Togruta age at the following stages:
1 - 11 Child
12 - 17 Young Adult
18 - 54 Adult
55 - 74 Middle Age
75 - 94 Old
Examples of Names: Ashla, Raana Tey, Codi Ty, Creev Zrgaat, Dyani Zaan, Jir Taalan, Qusak Laal, Shaak Ti, Vika Saaris, Ahsoka Tano.
Languages: Togrutas are taught their Species language of Togruti, and most later learn Basic. Togruti was an ornate language using trills and long vowel sounds, which were modified by subtle tremors in the Togruta's head-tails. This language was heavily influenced by Basic, but also incorporated some native idioms, which caused Basic-speaking Togruta to use strange expressions.
Okay, so the question is:
Do you think togruta markings are purely genetic or partly genetic and partly influenced by the environment?
e.g. a stressful adolescence leads to more complex markings/breakage
This conversation was had in large part on discord with @atagotiak and @dracothulhu.

Oooh. Hm.
Eldra/Cody, (idk, Eldra got rescued by the Jedi and lived AU) Eldra heard there's a clone commander that likes to punch Grevious and spin kick droids. She'd really like a spar.
“He what?” Eldra asks, maybe a little too loudly for the quiet training salle.
Maul wrinkles his nose, like he doesn’t get into shouting matches with his not-padawan practically daily at this point. “He punches droids,” he says distastefully. “With his fists. And kicks them.”
“Droids?” Eldra presses, impressed, and tries to calculate if Obi-Wan and his battalion are currently close enough to reach. She saw Anakin the other day in the refectory, so—maybe they're even on Coruscant.
“Grievous, as well, I believe,” Maul says, and eyes her with the wariness of almost twelve years of familiarity at this point. “Eldra—”
Eldra smirks at him. “You spend so much time with Obi-Wan that you must know his commander,” she says, pointed. “Introduce me.”
“I do not spend time with Kenobi,” Maul says crossly, but when Eldra grabs his arm and hauls him forward, he only struggles a little, which is practically permission where Maul is concerned.
“Enough time to know is commander has punched Grievous,” Eldra says, and when Maul sighs like she’s the greatest trial in his life and redirects her to the left, towards another set of training salles, she laughs. “You wouldn’t have told me if you didn’t think we would be friends.”
“A gross miscalculation on my part,” Maul says coolly, and shoves her through the next door, taking up residence in the opening with his arms crossed and an expression that says he’s been dragged here entirely against his will.
Eldra snorts, not about to let that stand, and hauls him into the room by the neck of his robes, ignoring the way he hisses at her in indignation. “Master Kenobi!” she calls across the room, to where Obi-Wan is flat on his back on the mats, his grandpadawan perched on his stomach and grinning with sharp teeth.
“Knight Kaitis,” Obi-Wan wheezes, head thumping back as he groans. “Maul.”
Eldra smiles at his grandpadawan, offering the little Togruta girl a hand up and slanting a surreptitious glance over at the clone with them. He’s leaning back against the wall, stripped down to his blacks, with his legs stretched out in front of him, and Anakin's captain is sitting with him, but—Eldra only has eyes for Obi-Wan’s commander. He looks like he practices kicking droids for fun, given those thighs, the muscling across his shoulders.
“I see you won this round,” she says, raising a brow at the Togruta girl, who grins back.
“I think seeing Knight Opress in the doorway distracted him,” she says cheerfully. “You’ve got good timing.”
Maul scoffs, like Eldra can't feel the flicker of something that’s definitely not annoyance that washes through him. “As expected from Master Kenobi,” he says disdainfully. “Beaten by an initiate—”
“I'm a padawan,” the girl says loudly, just as Obi-Wan pushes himself up and says with indignation, “Well, you try fighting her and see how well you fare, Maul—”
Eldra snickers, leaving them to it, and heads right for the commander, who’s watching his general with amusement and no small amount of judgement. Rex is the one who notices her coming, and his eyes widen as he elbows the other clone hard.
“Ow,” the commander says, jolting, and turns a scowl on him. “Rex, what—”
“You're Obi-Wan’s commander?” Eldra asks, stopping right in front of him. “The one who punched Grievous?”
The man blinks at her boots, then glances up, brow rising. “That’s me,” he says after a moment, bemused. “Commander Cody, sir.”
“I'm Eldra,” Eldra says decisively. “Spar with me. I want to fight you.”
Rex winces. Then again, he had to take two back to back missions with her and Anakin, so Eldra supposes he’s excused. They were dangerous missions. She didn’t even get to fight one single Sith, though, which was disappointing.
Cody's other brow rises to join the first, and he flicks another glance over her, assessing. Not sexual in the least, which is gratifying, because Eldra would hate to have to kick him in the balls so early on, but careful, which is even more so. Not writing her off because she’s a Twi’lek is a good start.
“I don’t exactly have a lightsaber,” Cody says, but he’s already pushing to his feet, so it’s very definitely not a no.
“I won't use mine, then,” Eldra says, and pulls off her outer robe, then her lightsaber, dropping them on Rex's other side. “Come, Commander Cody. If you win, I’ll treat you to dinner.”
Cody snorts, but there’s something like anticipation spreading across his face as he follows her towards the other side of the training salle. “And if you win?”
Eldra smirks at him. “You have to tell me exactly how you managed to punch Grievous in the face. And teach me how.”
Cody laughs, offering her his hand, and when Eldra clasps wrist with him, he squeezes firmly, clearly not afraid to break her. “You’ve got a deal.”
“Perfect,” Eldra says, and he promptly tries to flip her over his shoulder, but Eldra is expecting it, because it’s exactly what she would have done.
This, she decides, is going to be a very good relationship.

I plan on extensively yelling about Yoda’s visions in the immortality arc in the future, but for now please consider this.
Okay, getting this quick remark out of the way: it’s Katooni (the little Tholothian girl) who guides Yoda there. Children are a symbol of innocence, and what’s interesting is that Yoda takes her hand without hesitation after seeing all of the Jedi dead (and specifically Mace, Petro and Ahsoka). Throughout this scene here Yoda is the one asking questions and Katooni is the one answering - she speaks slowly and patiently, almost as if she’s talking to a youngling. –> The embodiment of wisdom manifested to Yoda (in a vision meant to tempt him through his dearest wishes) is a child. Talk about humility.
Now please pay attention to the Jedi in the background.
Here, the three Jedi right in the center of the set are Mace, Ahsoka and Petro - the exact three Jedi Yoda just saw dead and cried over (boy, s6 is so much fun, isn’t it?). So a significant part of Yoda’s deepest dreams is seeing other Jedi safe. He knows how to let go - that’s what this whole scene is about - but he still very much yearns for his fellow Jedi’s safety and happiness.
Onto the even sadder part: have you noticed what’s going on here? Younglings are playing around, and the older Jedi are all talking. Quinlan with Saesee Tiin, Tera Sinube with Gungi, Anakin with Aayla Secura, and Mace with Ahsoka. And not just talking, look at the gif above! Mace is openly laughing at whatever Ahsoka said.
And Ahsoka looks at him like this. (Again, this is right after Yoda’s vision of her dying, desperately asking how the Council could expel her.)
One of Yoda’s greatest hopes is seeing Ahsoka happy with her fellow Jedi, at ease with the embodiment of authority that is Mace.
Yoda loves Mace - he’s the first person he reaches for in the vision of the devastated Temple - and he loves Ahsoka, and part of his greatest temptation? Is to see the rift between the lost child of the Order and its Head healed.
Same thing with Quinlan - the known loose cannon - and Saesee - another Council member. And Tera Sinube is an elder Jedi, talking to a youngling. And Aayla is “just” a Knight, almost a random one, and Anakin is chatting with her.
This follows a pattern: the rogue and the conventional, the very old and the very young, the common and the extraordinary - each pair shows opposites enjoying each other’s company, differences embraced.
(Anakin talking to Aayla instead of sticking to Obi-Wan’s side like he does in the real world is especially interesting - he’s part of the community here, not ostracizing himself like he tends to do. Again, for this to be part of Yoda’s great temptation says so much about how caring he is. He wants Anakin to belong, more than anything.)
And finally, we get this:
(I couldn’t make this part into a gif because of technical reasons, so enjoy the beautiful family picture.)
Once again we find that central theme of healing and wholeness. This part is what convinces Yoda to briefly let go of his (well-founded) doubts and to embrace the vision. It’s his biggest, greatest, deepest desire. The one that could have made him abandon reality itself to stay in this idyllic dream. It’s his unbroken lineage, happy, in the light.
Yoda just wanted them all to be a family. Obi-Wan clearly adores Dooku in this scene (check it out, his awestruck look is amazing), their body language is incredibly warm and open, and they are completely at ease with each other and delighted to be sharing stories. It just screams domestic life.
And that’s it, that’s all Yoda ever wanted. For the young and the old to be content together, a community bathed in light, the gardens filled with the sound of windchimes and the laughter of children. He just wanted to have his family alive and safe and smiling.
. . .
Dammit, I love this frog grandpa so much *sobs*
the clone wars trio + variations of a power trio
obi wan drops his lightsaber for the millionth time during a battle and cody has to pick it it up again. hes limping badly afterwards but is refusing to go to medical so finally cody breaks and is just like “here general, go fetch” and throws it in the med tent. obi wan, indignant, goes to said med tent to get it and gets sedated 0.2 seconds after walking in
Cody: So I’m sure all of you have noticed by now that General Kenobi has been lurking around the med tent. Clones: *nod* Cody: But never getting close enough for us to push him inside. Boil: I almost got close enough once, but he fled the second he saw me. Cody: I know, he’s a crafty one. My point is: SHINIES. He will try to talk to you! He will try to gently smile at you! He will try to coax you into getting his lightsaber for him! And I’m sure he’s not above bribing you too! but you know what you have to do, right? Clones: TACKLE HIM TO THE GROUND AND CALL THE MEDIC, SIR. Cody: EXACTLY. Also please note that we don’t want to cause more injuries so please be careful when you restrain him.
So Rex spends his time trying to stop his General from undertaking reckless plans without consulting General Kenobi.
And Cody is constantly trying to make his General look after himself without resorting to calling the healers or General Skywalker.
Meanwhile Wolffe has to stop his General from adopting all the things andPonds spends a lot of time trying to convince General Windu to let THEM do the protecting.
And we’ve just decided that whichever poor Clone Commander was assigned to Kit Fisto faces a constant battle to stop him fighting naked.
So what other bad habits do the Jedi have that the clones need to deal with? Does Vos constantly go AWOL? Why foibles does Aayla have that drive Bly nuts? What about Luminara?
Master Matako taught Eldra (x) how to dance one of Glee Anselm’s most popular dances. The dance characterized by rigid movements coupled with limb contortions at the joints with hands and wrist illusions, incorporating some shoulder and head tendrils movements. Hands forming imaginary geometric shapes, such as a triangle, are introduced during motion and moved progressively around the dancer’s body to display the dancer’s dexterity and memory. This dance involves incredible flexibility and fluidity at its most extreme with exaggerated feminine movements, the old version of this dance were mostly perform underwater but the new way is preferably display on land. While not possess a set of head tendrils like her master, Eldra is able to put on some twist with her lekku, she enjoy it as her hobby and a form of mediation in leisure time.
Anyway one of the reasons I’m so mad about Order 66 is the fact that a happy ending would have meant that Clone Culture and Jedi Culture would mix because they basically adopted each other and it would have been beautiful
Jedi are peacekeepers and they are more than happy to return to their role but war still haunts them and leaves its marks. Many are happy to get rid of their armor, others not so much
Padawans who survived and grow into Knights who keep parts of their armor, painted in the color of their battalion
New Padawans who pick up an armor and paint it in colors meaningful to them after their first mission! Imagine excited kids coming back going “Look! My armor has its first scratch!!!” And a clone being so happy for this tiny Shinie
Which also: Language. Okay. So much slang becoming casual in the temple but also Mando’a. Shinie and Padawan becoming pretty synonymous after a few years.
And like, going on missions without clones just feels kinda weird at this point. And they just attach themselves to their Jedi for missions because sure, we’re not fighting A War™️ anymore but Skywalker and Kenobi are still Skywalker-and-Kenobi and We Know Better
Also Force-sensitive clones because canon robbed us of that. Which starts the whole age debate. And then somebody (Anakin who is busy being a Dad and also a Master bc he deserved it after defeating Sidious) goes “I mean. The oldest are actually only 15 and also we should listen to the Force”
And the Council is already so tired, Skywalker has been taking his adorable super strong kids to meetings basically everyday, Plo Koon legally adopted the Wolfpack as soon as Clones were recognized as citizens of the Republic (he had the adoption papers on his person so he could make use of them ASAP) might as well change the code
So Clone Padawans!!! And later Knights!!!! And they’re so proud of it.
On the other hand, a lot of clones adapt Jedi practices! Learn their code to make it through the memories of war because bred soldier or not - it leaves scars
They meditate! Some of them might even actually kinda know how to handle a lightsaber because their Jedi keep losing theirs
They first get Jedi tunics because that’s just what they have at the temple and when you need to supply a lot is people with casual clothes, that’s a good start. Some clones branch out, others don’t. They’re comfortable and the whole cape/robe drop is badass
Tattoos! Not really a thing for the Jedi as a culture before, but they become more and more popular so that Masters legit have to make sure their underaged Padawans won’t get any.
Sharing last names! Like, objectively, them optioning for going by “Fett” is funny for so many reasons, most of them related to Boba having to sit through various “No, not that Fett” talks but also! Jedi offering up their last names! Plo already adopted his batch but I bet Cody introduces himself as “Kenobi” and Obi-Wan doesn’t even blink like “It suits you, Commander”.
Also Ahsoka and Rex coming home because we deserve that and Ahsoka and Anakin nearly throwing hands about Who Gets To Give Rex Their Last Name. (RIP to them because Padmé was quicker and Rex Amidala sounds ten times as cool)
Tiny younglings!!! Being so honored when they can share a name with a Clone. Imagine a small little Twi’lek Initiate being HYPED when a Commander accepts her name. A hero! Thinking you’re very brave!
The Senate maybe goes “but the clones don’t belong to you-“ at the start but are shut up very quickly.
Just give me the Clones and Jedi in the aftermath of the war living together peacefully.
Haha I'm having emotions~
Okay, secretly, or not so secretly, I really like the idea of Dooku and Ahsoka as a duo?? Nno no listen, it's wholesome I know nobody cares butT
I like Dooku as he was prior to the Disneyfication of Star Wars. The guydude who called Obi Wan his grandson before asking Palpanite to spare his life? That one, your honor.
Cause my HC (supported by Episode 3 zhe novel and Labyrith of Evil) is that after losing Qui, Dooku did an oopsie. He channeled the dark side. Maybe it was just for a moment. But somehow, in the old story, Dooku finds Darth Sidious on his own, he figures it out or senses him. Doesn't tell any of the Jedi cause fuck those losers they let his padawan die! and he goes to wreck Palpatene's ass (But Palpitane got in his head, and yeah..)
Before all that, Dooku was supposed to take Yoda's place as the next Grand Master of the Order. (I haven't read that, somebody told me that. Idk how credible it is, but I dig it as an idea and I think it makes sense)
My point is, I assume that losing Qui Gon was a big deal to Dooku. A big enough deal to throw his entire life and work out the windu. On top of that, I think Ahsoka and Qui Gon share some personality traits that I find important in this case: they're both stubborn imps, they value the work of a Jedi more than the title of a Jedi, they both look inward for answers, they're both Consulares, etc.
Putting all of this together, if I could add something to Dooku's story, it would be him meeting Ahsoka as a baby.
No I will not shut up about this ☝️☝️☝️
Because Dooku was a bad bitch but a good politician, and thought slavery was barbaric, it wouldn't be impossible for him to sense Ahsoka while visiting Shili on a "diplomatic" mission? He'd also have the money to pay off the imposter Jedi or have the skill to, at least, expose them.
(I see Dooku as the Qui Gon of the Sith btw. Like they're both very grey but on opposite sides of the spectrum..)
Dooku would take Ahsoka with him but he wouldn't tell Pilpitine. Dooku wouldn't trust that Ddried up cucumbér and more importantly, Dooku might've been angry with the Jedi but he didn't hate them like Anakin did. Dooku would take Ahsoka with the intention of giving her to the Order.
He would call someone like Master Plo, someone trustworthy, because I think Dooku didn't regret his decision for leaving the Jedi. But he might have regretted leaving without somebody there to replace him?
If Qui Gon was alive and Dooku still fell to the dark somehow, he'd have left knowing Qui Gon was there.
I think Ahsoka embodies a lot of the Jedi spirit™ that Qui Gon had and the heart or Hope that Luke has. If Dooku had met her it would help heal some of his wounds and subsequently pull him away from the dark side. If only by a little tiny bit.
But it would be enough, if over time he watched her grow by his grandpadawan's and Anakin's side. It would take more energy for him to channel his powers and it would add to his weakened state if he suddenly had hope!
In the beginning of Episode 3, he loses to Anakin a little too easily (and pls I don't wanna hear about Anakin being the chosen one, he could be Avril Lavigne's double for all I care here). And in many versions of the story it's said that the Dark Side feeds on the people that use it and weakens them. Like what force lightning did to Pilpatene.
👉👈
Okay I'll come clean.
I hate when characters just die and nothing happens. Dooku died and nothing happened.
But if he knew Ahsoka was still somewhere out there. If he had pulled some strings here and there to ensure her safety? Then that means Dooku died with a little bit of hope... And that's what Star Wars is all ABOOT!!!
And I would have them meet again when Ahsoka had to battle her darker emotions inbetween Episode 3 and and the Mandalorian BUT that's another talk for another time when I'm on crack and need to scream about them again
Boop
okay you know what I would absolutely kill for? younger teenage Luke and Leia accidentally meeting up (maybe Luke stole a ship, or got arrested) and Obi-Wan having to (a) find them, and (b) stop them from destroying everything in their path once he does.
I just want to watch him attempt to reason with two very angry, very powerful fourteen year olds whose dearest wish is to blow up an imperial cruiser. Negotiator indeed.
