and #50: “It’s a hobby of mine to prove you wrong”
Per request of @carleyynicole Hope you like it, I’m so sorry for the super long wait!
A/N: This does NOT contain Civil War spoilers!

You pressed your back against the rough bark of a thick tree as you tried to calm your heavy breathing. The shade from the trees above you did nothing to keep the hot July sun from overheating your skin and leaving you dehydrated.
“(Y/N)!” You jumped in shock as the comm in your ear startled you back into reality. You had been running for a while and hadn’t heard nor seen any of your fellow Avengers in what felt like ages. It came as no surprise that Tony was the one frantically hissing in your ear. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?!”
“You know damn well what I’m doing!” You were still slightly out of breath, but thankfully your comment still packed a punch.
“You mean going rogue?! Stick to the plan!”
“I know you have reached a decision, but given that it is a stupid ass decision I have elected to ignore it.”
“I have got to stop letting you spend so much time with Fury,” Tony sighed in frustration. You could practically hear his eyes rolling. “And it is not a stupid plan! Now get back here before you get shot!”
“I already told you I’m not coming back! Stick to your plan if you want to, but I’ll have no part of it!”
There was silence for a few moments. You couldn’t tell if he had given up or if he was on his way to drag you back by the ear.
“(Y/N)… Be careful okay? I love you. No matter what.” The sincerity in his voice touched your heart. It was a tone you rarely heard from Tony especially in such a high stress situation like this.
“Yeah dad. I love you too.”
~~~
You stayed behind the tree for a few more minutes before moving on and continuing to dart around the forest. It was bright as ever, but minus the random comm messages you would get from your team throughout the day it was mostly silent.
It had been about an hour and a half since you last heard anything when your dad started talking again, this time with an edge of defeat and sadness lacing his tone. “(Y/N)? Do you copy?”
“Dad what’s wrong?” You could feel your stomach drop at his tone and a chill run through your body despite the blistering heat.
“I know you didn’t want to be a part of this fight. I’m sorry that I dragged you into this, but your the only one left. (Y/N)…. I’ve been hit.” You let your head hang down as you screwed your eyes shut willing the last few words out of your dads lips to be a lie. “I… I know you love him but Steve has to be stopped. It’s for the best.” Hearing your dad say Steve’s name made your heart clench as you knew what you had to do.
“Dad you know I-”
“I can’t talk anymore (Y/N). Make me proud.” And with that last interruption Tony was gone. You were all alone in the forest. Well not alone. Out there somewhere was the man you loved. A man who needed to be stopped if everything was going to be okay.
~~~
It took you about a half hour to find Steve standing in a large clearing. His feet were spread, his shoulders squared, and his gun held tightly in his hands. The breeze pushed his golden hair gently to the side and the bright sun caused his eyes to squint in order to see. He looked like a god, but you knew what he was capable of.
You were crouched behind a bush debating what to do when your father’s last words echoed in your mind. ‘Make me proud’. Nodding to yourself as encouragement you stood up, gun ready to fire, and faced the blonde haired, blue eyed super soldier.
“Drop your weapon Steve!” Your voice was calm and even. Nothing like the quivering mess you felt like on the inside.
Steve’s lips tugged minutely at the corners as his bright eyes met yours. “I should have known it was going to be a Stark at the end. A Stark started this so it’s only fitting a Stark tries to finish it.”
“Tries to?” You quirked an eyebrow at his statement. “I’ve got you cornered babe.”
“True. But we both know you can’t do it (Y/N).”
There was a short pause as you took in his words before scoffing out a short “You wish,” and pulling the trigger on your gun.
Steve’s face turned to shock as the bullet hit him square in the chest. He fell dramatically to the ground clutching his wound and gasping out your name.
You rolled your eyes at his behavior before walking over to Steve and looking down at his now dirt covered form. “C’mon Steve get up. You’re getting all dirty.”
“I can’t. My fiancee just shot me in the chest and I’m dying.” Steve had on a puppy dog face and you knew exactly what was coming.
“You want me to kiss it all better don’t you?”
“Yes please,” Steve’s goofy smile brought one to your face as well as you held out your hand to help him up. When he was finally back on his feet you gave him a quick peck on the lips and started walking back towards the Avengers Base.
“Hey!” Steve called, picking up his dropped gun and walking after you. “You shot your own fiance in the chest and that’s the only get better kiss you’re gunna give him?”
“Steve you probably didn’t even feel that nerf bullet!” You chuckled at your fiance’s antics as he scoffed before grabbing you by the waist and pulling you in for another kiss.
“Doesn’t mean you didn’t shoot me.” Steve moved his arm to drape across your shoulders while you let yours hug him around his waist. You were still making your way back to the base. You were sure by this point the rest of your teammates were getting antsy to see who came home victorious.
“Well you said I couldn’t and you know it’s a hobby of mine to prove you wrong.”
“Yeah I probably shouldn’t have done that.”
“Nope.”
“You know your dad is going to hold this over my head for the rest of our lives rights?”
“Awww. Probably.”
“Well at least it wasn’t over anything important…”
You halt in your tracks giving Steve an incredulous look. “Nothing important? Steven Grant Rogers you and my father just dragged every last one of the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes into the forest to shoot each other with nerf guns as a way to decide who got to play their Spotify album in the gym. If you don’t care next time don’t make me spend so much time running around the damned forest!” You gave a huff as you detached yourself from his side and started walking faster towards the base.
“Aw c’mon babe! Don’t be like that! I’m sorry! I love you!”
You threw up your hand, middle finger waving proudly as your muttered to yourself. “Next time those two want to butt heads they better not try to drag my ass into it.”

Hi tumblr people!
Tlou s2e2 hit so hard it teleported me back to high school. I started drawing again (which after traumatic expierience with art school is a big win for me yay!)
I know this doesn’t even resemble Pedro (somehow it reminds me more of Joel from the games. How? I don’t have the slightest idea 😂). Should I add more moths or leave it with only white? It will be a diptych with Ellie with fern and moths. The whitest part is made in Posca markers. I tried to save it by adding more in soft pastel to mute it a little but well… let’s just say I went with the flow and here we are. What should I change? What can I add? Pls be gentle 🫣 also I’m adding my reference (Photoshoot from Esquire April 2023)
Step 1: Actually step outside your house Step 2: Wear a fandom/band shirt Step 3: Wait.
Request: Prompt number 2 with Peter Parker CA:CW? Thank youuuuu! 😘
Prompt: “I know it’s 3 in the morning, but I can’t find my cat”
Pairing: Peter Parker x Reader
Author’s note: y/c/n means your cat’s name
Peter was woken up by a light tapping on his window.
“Peter, open up. I need your help.” Peter jumped out of bed when he heard how worried you sounded. He rushed to the window and opened it up.
“Y/n, what are you doing here?”
You climbed in and began to pace around Peter’s small room and said, “I know it’s 3 in the morning, but I can’t find my cat. Can you help me?”
“That’s what you risked waking up Aunt May for? She’d kill you if she found out you climbed up 6 stories to find me, and then she’d kill me for letting you.” This caused you to stop pacing around the tiny room and you looked Peter in the eyes.
You crossed your arms across your chest and said, “Are you going to help me or not?”
“Of course I will, just let me get changed and then we can leave” , Peter sighed and added, “through the front door.” You smiled and sat down on his bed and waited for him to get his clothes on. When he was done the two of you headed out.

To begin, here’s a quick crash course into the 5 Stages of Grief.
There are five stages of grief; Denial & Isolation, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance. Although these are the identified stages, they are not experienced the same for everyone. People experience them occurring in different orders, experience each stage to different degrees, and in some cases people don’t experience all of the stages. Often times people in real life experience these stages without full completion due to how quickly the world moves and the responsibilities that society has put on an individual. Throughout the whole process, our own feelings and thoughts of mortality is brought up. But there is a common thread in each of the stages and that is Hope. While you may have lost someone you are still alive and there is hope that you will continue to live, or in some cases just survive.
Now that we’ve covered some basics to the 5 Stages of Grief, let’s really get into it in regards to The Last of Us Part II. There will be spoilers ahead.

“No.”
“(Y/N), you didn’t even give me a chance to ask my question!” the man trailed behind you, flailing his arms behind you exasperatedly. You knew exactly what he wanted to ask and there was no way in hell you’d sit down and agree with him. “Just give me a chance, (Y/N)?”
“No.”
“But-”
“Steve, I swear to God,” you hissed, walking past him to avoid his gaze as you struggled to continue what you were doing before your friend stepped into the room. Pacing from left to right, you could barely even remember what you were doing as your mind was clouded with stress and guilt when Steve threw you the look you tried so hard to avoid receiving. “Steve…” your voice trailed off, squinting your eyes threateningly at him. Your efforts barely did anything as his eyes screamed disappointment at you. A loud, obvious sigh escaped your lips as you threw your arms up in the air. “Fine. Ask me.”

For anon
Nina clung to her father desperately. They had been fortunate enough to get back to America unnoticed. The little girl’s cheeks were stained with tears and snot. She hadn’t stop crying since the incident.
Out of fright, Nina had made the animals go into a slight frenzy. In the confusion, a guard accidentally let the arrow fly from his bow. Having seen it, her mother threw Nina to the side before the arrow plunged into her heart. Shaken, but realizing the need to get his daughter safe, Erik had grabbed Nina and left.
Now the pair was standing in front of a large mansion. The moon was high in the sky. As if sensing them, the door opened to reveal his old friend. Charles greeted them with a somber expression. Erik, while holding Nina on his hip, walked over to him.
“I don’t suppose you already looked,” Erik rasped, half-hoping he did so he didn’t have to say it. Charles nodded. He licked his lips, eyes tearing up. “I am so sorry, Erik. Come on in.”
Charles wheeled into the house, the two following. Nina wiped her hand against her nose before resting her head on her father’s shoulder.
“I’ve already set up a room for the two of you,” Charles explained quietly, “It’s your old room, actually.” Erik nodded, chest still heavy. Charles spun to face him. “I suggest the two of you sleep. Then we can talk in the morning.” Erik nodded again. He spoke, voice coming out shaky, “Thank you, Charles.”
The man smiled while giving a nod. Without another word, Charles spun back around, continuing to lead the pair through the quiet halls.

A/N: Alright, this is one shot requested by anon, thank you :) Right now it’s just a one shot, but if you will like it, I can write another chapter or more. Just let me know. :) Takes time probably before Thor first movie or somewhere around beginning, since Loki here is still that innocent boy he used to be. Gif is not mine.
Oh, why me? Please, why me? You lamented in your mind, walking through the room in palace, among a heap of people, most of them drunk. They were celebrating another success in battle but you’ve never been interested in.. well, this. You were quietly looking for your father, trying not to draw attention. After a while you found him, with his head on the table and probably sleeping. You rushed towards him, shaking his shoulder. “Dad. Daddy. Father!” you raised your voice and he quickly moved up his head. “What-..what..is going on, sweetheart?” “It’s really late, mother asked me to bring you home. So please do not make it worse than it has to be. Come with me,” you tried to convince him, since he looked like he wanted to lie on the table again. “Wait a minute, Y/N. Just give me a second,” he murmured and you sighed, then sat beside him into the corner. “Alright, a minute. Then we are going home,” you replied and leaned against a wall. You went quiet and looked around. When you saw your neighbour, a girl not much older than you, sitting on Fandral’s lap and laughing, you just raised your eyebrows and looked away. There was a really loud older prince with his friends and women who acted just like your neighbour. But then someone else caught your attention - younger prince Loki, who quietly with his eyebrows furrowed, read his book, between all this mess and loud people. But it didn’t seem to bother him at all. You tilted your head to the side and smile formed on your lips. He was unlike everyone else in the room. Calm, quiet and sober. You watched the way one black lock of his hair fell across his forehead and then his pale fingers put it back on place. You slid your gaze lower on his book and after a while of looking, you recognized you already read this one. When you returned your sight back on his face, your heart skipped a beat since his eyes were set right on you and he looked amused. You quickly looked away, feeling heat on your cheeks. You nervously bit your lip before shaking your father’s shoulder again. “Dad, come on wake up. We need to go,” and walk past both princes so let’s get over it as fast as we can, daddy. “Let’s go then,” he mumbled and got up. You quickly caught up his elbow to prevent him from falling and then you lead him further. Your cheeks burned again, knowing you were with every step closer to prince Loki, from whom you couldn’t take your eyes off just a few minutes ago and he saw it. “Something caught your eye, lady.. what is your name?” You heard prince’s smooth voice and you closed your eyes. Why me? Oh, why me again? You turned to him and met his playful eyes and amused smile. “My name is Y/N, your highness,” you bowed down your head and took a deep breath, “and I.. well, I just.. I’ve read the same book,” you replied finally. “Really? And what did you learn from it?” he asked, looking like he was truly having fun. You bit your lip again, not so sure how to answer. “I do not wish to take you a chance to learn it yourself, my prince,” you replied with a small smile and he laughed. “You are clever, lady.. Y/N,” he added after a short pause. The way his voice gracefuly played with syllables of your name made you shiver, “May I accompany you? It seems you need a little help,” he pointed at your father, who was now leaning against the table. You slightly nodded. Loki got up from his seat and while you lead your father out of the room again, you felt touch of his fingers on your waist for a moment. Then he took your father’s shoulder on the other side. Just when you were about to tell him he should not do this, he spoke frist. “So tell me, do you always read books or you just read this one?” You felt his gaze on you while walking under the sky full of stars, but you didn’t look at him. You couldn’t help your smile. No man ever wanted to talk with you about reading books. Except him. “I always do it. All the time. Father says that no one is going to pay me for reading books so I better find something else to do but I just can not help it.” “Me either,” he replied and you looked at him. With that simple answer you felt like you could tell him everything you wanted to talk about but no one was ever interested, “I am learner and magician rather than.. warrior.” “Now, that is truly..” “..strange?” “Special. I think it’s special.” You kept looking into his eyes, smiling a little. You kept watching his handsome face and graceful moves. “We are nearly home, so.. thank you for your help and company, your highness,” you said and he smiled again. “Just Loki, please. And, my lady, if I may ask you, meet me tomorrow after lunch right on this place,” he pointed at the tree, a few meters behind you, “if you want. I have something I am dying to show you.” You kept looking at him, even when your father started mumbling something again. Is the prince really asking me to meet him again? “And what is it?” you asked, walking towards your home and leading your dad the right way. “A surprise. Will you come?” This must be a dream. “Gladly,” you answered making him smile. Then he turned over and walked back towards the palace. That night you didn’t sleep a single minute.
