I spent the whole night tossing and turning unable to sleep thinking about what happened between Izzy and I at the diner.

I knew I had to tell Duff one way or another but I wasn’t so sure if that was a conversation I was ready to have.

Duff convinced our mom to let me stay here in L.A under his care and I knew indefinitely I would be shipped back home the same day if he found out about Iz and I.

My pillow wasn’t doing any justice to helping me sleep either.

I huffed and got up from my bed opening the door to grab a pillow from the couch where Izzy was sleeping.

“Iz? Are you asleep?” I whispered looking at Izzy’s lifeless body in front of me or so it seemed.

I guess that’s how he slept at night.

“No. I’m wide awake Maddy.” he mocked turning on his other side away from the peering light through my cracked room door.

“Do you have a pillow I could borrow. I can’t sleep with the one I have.” I pestered placing both hands on his shoulder that was upright at his current sleeping position.

Izzy didn’t say anything but nodded helping Duff push the stuff in the passenger seat before he closed the door and hopped into the backseat where I was sitting.

I hated in the middle since I usually got annoyed from having to deal with people on each side of me but I had no choice because Axl would be joining us soon.

“Are you both comfy?” Duff asked peering at us through the rear view mirror.
