The Smog Monster

It's Hedorah!  A glow-in-the-dark blue and pink color way Hedorah, which is one of mine from our collection.  There are so many great variations for Hedorah figures.  It's definitely one of my favorites and its respective film is real wacky.

Here's some more little slobs!

New illo for BUST appearing in the current Aug/Sept issue on stands now. This one's about the trend of so-far pretty vanilla Disney-grown actresses starring in "bad girl" movies like Spring Breakers and The Bling Ring. Thanks to AD Lan Turong.

SPX COMETH!

Check this oouuuuttt...

Here's "Ugs, Fugs and Grossos", 28 pages of ug-ass mugs, fug-ass fugs, and gross-ass grossos; and "Executioner and Friend", dungeons, dragons, and dick jokes, each by Jimmy Giegerich.

"Heroical #1" is an 11" X 14" zine by David Plunkert chock full of weirdo super hero stuff, and playfully off-beat heros.

The very exciting "Fantasy Basketball" by Sam Bosma will be in the mix as well and it's sure to be mind-blowingly good.

Alex Fine is debuting "Il Bruto", a hilarious collection of Charles Bronson pin ups in classic action movie rolls.

"Warlow's Guide to Wizards, Sorceri & Familiars Arcane" by yours truly will be there of course!

Two new comics from Haleigh Buck of Hey Boy Comics will be debuting as well: "Herman the Hot Dog" and "Internet Diarrhea", sure to be goofy-as-hell, wildly inappropriate, and full of schadenfreude.

Last but not least, Kali Ciesemier will be selling some gorgeous prints of her work that are not to be missed!

That's what we got for you guys! Come to tables M5-M8 to get your hands on it all! We'll see you there, pals.

This Is My Piece For The Silver Screen Society's February Exhibition Honoring The Very Funny Podcast

This is my piece for the Silver Screen Society's February exhibition honoring the very funny podcast "How Did This Get Made?" Artists chose one of several bad movies reviewed on the podcast by Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas and June Diane Raphael (who can make the word "disgusting" the funniest thing I've heard) and my choice, if it's not obvious, was Batman & Robin.

My little brother and I have seen this movie too many times, and it is oh so silly, and we love it. There are enough nipples sculpted into costumes that I figured I'd give everyone a chance to show theirs off. And revisiting those costumes...boy are they dumb. Mr. Freeze's get-up is one of the most convoluted, stupid things I've ever had to draw. So this was tons of fun.

Check out all the great work on Silver Screen Society's online gallery here, including Jimmy Giegerich's excellent Cool As Ice piece (which got him followed BY Vanilla Ice on Twitter! A very rad outcome). And, if you haven't already heard "How Did This Get Made?", correct that error here. You'll be better for it.

Thanks to the guys at Silver Screen for inviting me to take part!

Hey Everybody! I'm Starting Some Special Commissions As A Way To Raise Funds For Printing My Next Comic,

Hey everybody! I'm starting some special commissions as a way to raise funds for printing my next comic, "Tales from Aeaea #2"!

If you love cooking and maybe also have an appreciation for the strange or fantastic, I'll create a full-body portrait of you in the style of my "Cauldrons & Casseroles" zine. You could become a witch crafting cupcakes, a goblin making goulash, or a necromancer raising the bread! (I'm so sorry...wait–no wait, don't go!)

Here are the details:

For $75, you'll get an original ink drawing of yourself transformed into a fantastic character making your favorite dish, with a full background at 8.5" X 11" on archival bristol paper shipped to your door.

For an extra $25, I'll color your ink drawing like the examples above and mail you a print on high-quality 8.5" X 11" matte paper along with your original ink drawing.

Curious about what your portrait might look like? Take a look at these images from my "Cauldrons" zine!

If you'd like an original piece by me, personalized and completely unique, send me an email! I'll need a photo of you, your dish of choice, and any other preferences you might have. Payment required upfront. Domestic US shipping costs are included. I’ll provide a quote for international shipping. Pieces will be produced and mailed in order of requests made.

You can also visit my store here to pick up a copy of “Cauldrons & Casseroles” and the first “Tales from Aeaea.”

Thanks so much for taking a look and please share!
