I feel so called out rn
take your time, they said.
the words will come to you, they said.
I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:
IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.
1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.
2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.
3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”
4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”
5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.
TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.
Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.
Love how tumblr has its own folk stories. Yeah the God of Arepo we’ve all heard the story and we all still cry about it. Yeah that one about the woman locked up for centuries finally getting free. That one about the witch who would marry anyone who could get her house key from her cat and it’s revealed she IS the cat after the narrator befriends the cat.
“This reads like fanfiction (it feels like it was written by a preteen, and most of such things posted publicly are fanfic)” vs “This reads like fanfiction (it has a focus on character and relationships, like the style of a lot of modern fanfic)” vs “This reads like fanfiction (it keeps referencing people and events with the assumption that the audience is already familiar with them, like how fanfic doesn’t need to rehash the source material)”
Hey y'all.
You know me, you know I hate asking for help, but I have to, I really do. So I’m linking my Ko-Fi for donations AND commissions if you’d like to take advantage of either. I offer a few different things, not just my pet portraits, so check it out yea?
My heart is fucked up, unfortunately. Not quite sure the extent of the problem just yet, but I’m definitely not in a great spot. I still need to wear a device to monitor my heart for a while so the doc can assess fully, I’ll need a blood pressure monitor to have at home, and I’ll likely need a sleep study. I’ll also be starting beta blockers. So…it’s a lot to take in right now. And on top of that, Amber and I just got info in the mail that our base rent is going up $158, the new lease terms force us into a bundle deal with Spectrum, and they added a bunch of services on top of those costs that we don’t need but Have to pay for. We’re already kinda struggling due to my lack of income, and I just lost my only source of any money, my plasma. Can’t donate with heart issues, go figure. So anyway. You got a pamphlet, poster, sticker, pet portrait, twitch assets, anything? you want me to do. I’m happy to take on any projects. Even if you don’t need anything, if you could share and signal boost this around and all that? I’d appreciate it.
I remember someone mentioning a while ago how a game with Franziska would be like. As in, a version of Miles Edgeworth Investigations but with Franziska as the protagonist.
With Maya as her assistant. Because the interaction between them would be priceless.
And I didn’t know how much I need that into my life.
actually im just gonna make my own post about it: please read more webcomics. please try them. every time people make posts about “aw man i wish SOMEone would WRITE about FLAVOR OF QUEER THING/TRAUMA OR ABUSE BUT IN SPECIFIC WAYS I CAN RELATE TO/WHATEVER” and then it gets reblogged into a giant thread of people agreeing with it and demanding Content i die because whatever it is is definitely being painstakingly created by an indie author who would really like for people to consume it and every time i point this out people suddenly can’t read lmao
it is out there it is free it is being made from firsthand experiences by people who care very very deeply who would be DELIGHTED to hear that it’s resonating with anybody at all, please throw some of that enthusiasm and support at people who will actually appreciate it
if you’re an indie comic person and any of this applies to you i encourage you to reblog this with a link to your comic and a short synopsis so people can browse the notes and find shit they’re looking for. or make your own post on your own blog if you don’t want to fool with other people i don’t care this is a sign from the universe that you should be louder about what you’re working on because people can’t fucking find it apparently.
i’ll go first i make kidd commander and it’s about an ensemble cast of queers on their way to kill god, they live on an airship and they’re all too pissed off to die. it’s free to read and it’s in the middle of its third arc right now. it lives here http://kiddcommander.com/
go go go
oh you’re a writer? how’s doing everything you can to avoid writing going?
I've been meaning to post about this game for a while now...
Bycatch is an interactive fiction game written and developed by members of VOWTogether (5 writers of Lovestruck stories have put all of this together, including the character and artefact artwork).
It's available to play on itch.io (desktop only I believe) - go to the site and search for "vowtogether" or "bycatch". It's easy to find, I just don't want to post direct links because Tumblr may decide to hide this post from the tags!
Don't be put off if you've heard people talk about it as a horror game - whilst it does fall into that category, there's no jump-scare to it.
I'd describe it as more like... odd and unsettling (which is definitely my thing).
Game time is around 20 mins for a full play-through but it always takes me longer as I often have to walk away at points and think about what I've just read! You'll definitely want to play it more than once - I've lost count how many times I've played.
I'm not going to give anything away about the game except for a few screenshots below as an intro. If you appreciate how talented the senior Lovestruck writing team are, definitely give this game a go (this is why I'm putting it in the main tags). And if you enjoy it, spread the word!
