they fucking went and cancelled Ă©toile. it hasnât even been a month since s1 came out and theyâre cancelling it, after greenlighting two seasons. the cast is quite literally still doing promotional work, and theyâre cancelling it. i am so sick of these big corporations giving shows no time whatsoever to generate a viewership and no chance to build on the foundations that get built in a first season. Ă©toile is so incredibly genuine and heartfelt, giving stage to a dying art, jobs to artists in that field, it has a magnificent ensemble cast of characters that we barely got to meet.
i fucking hate this.
so youâre telling me that netflixâs dept q doesnât have a fandom yet? when itâs got insane potential to be a prime tumblr fandom candidate? when youâve got 1) matthew goode as a grumpy, arrogant english inspector riddled with ptsd (heavily reminiscent of david tennant in broadchurch) 2) an empathetic, yet badass sidekick with a mysterious backstory 3) a peppy redhead whoâs the exact opposite of the main character and whom he reluctantly teams up with? but then the team works great together? and these guys, theyâre all trying to solve their own problems from their past, while working on the most fucked up cold case imaginable?
tumblr cmon do your thing and watch the show already
I don't understand why people say that Genevieve was cruel to Cheyenne. Gen was tired and under pressure to deliver results or she would lose her job. Yes, it wasn't nice to dismiss Cheyenne's worries, but on top of the pressure she probably thought that falling is something normal and that any dancer deals with (and has to learn how to deal with). Since the begginin they show us that Gen has done everything to save the ballet and help the dancers (for example how she says that she has covered and made excuses for Gabin many times). I don't know why this one honest mistake made without the intention of being cruel should make anyone lose respect for her of even hate her as a character. Plus, i don't think comparing Gen to Jack is fair, he can be very understandable and has more room to act because he is not in the same position as Gen, his job is not being threatened and he is very privileged because of his family.
i grieve them everyday btw. if you even care.
im in disbelief at the fact that a lot of folks are simply over palestine. like protests are dwindling down. people are not very interested in news related to gaza. some are simply over it.
israel hasn't let aid in gaza in 70 days. gaza has been starving for 70 days. the condition of people there is horrendous.
i find it distressing to think about children in gaza. how does one continue to have a childhood in a genocide? they don't have school. they don't have safety. they don't have food.
despite all this, the kids will be alright. they'll be alright once the genocide stops and they get back to 'normal'. till then, can we please try to support them however we can?
this fundraiser (verified) helps feed a family which includes two young children. please consider helping their mother take care of them.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
- Helly asking Mark in the pilot if she was dead and the Severed Floor was Hell.
- Mark and Gemma's story being a spin on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. A man who tries to rescue his deceased wife from being trapped in the Underworld.
- "Well boss, I guess this is the part where I should tell you to go to hell. Except you're already here."
- The musical notes that play during the elevator transition of Outie to Innie being a G and C#. A tritone, also known as the Devil's Interval.
- Mark mentioning Persephone in the latest episode, the Queen of the Underworld. Whose life is split in two, spending half her time down there, and the other half up above in the world of the living.
- "You know, my mother was an atheist. She used to say that there was good news and bad news about hell. The good news is, hell is just the product of a morbid human imagination. The bad news is, whatever humans can imagine, they can usually create."
jayce enduring a symbolic rendition of viktor's trauma is so painful and so, so clever.
being stricken down and immobilized through sheer accident or, in viktor's case, a cruelly random quirk that caused his disability.
then physically dragging himself from the lowest level of zaun to piltover, much like how viktor spent his youth reaching toward the promise piltover offered, but only if he could "pull himself up by the boot straps" and get there on his own. socioeconomic forces working against him be damned.
i appreciate arcane reminding us of viktor's origins - the reason he is so called to help people and, eventually, save himself - and putting jayce through the ringer - the contrast between he and viktor's lived experiences is front and center throughout season 1. the writers send jayce, and the audience, on a grueling journey to contemplate those experiences and how they've manifested in these intertwined characters.
And I guess I'll just miss her
Even though she isn't even really gone
But things are just different
Ever since she cut her blue hair off
something about vi never wanting anyone in her life to change. something about jayce not caring at all how much viktor has changed so long as he's alive. something about the way vi associates radical change with death, perceiving jinx's continued existence as a kind of necromantic horrorâthe way jayce would shatter fundamental laws of nature without a second thought in order to give viktor the best chance at survival, in whatever form that may take. transformation as rebirth vs murder, hextech vs shimmer. nature has made us intolerant to change, but fortunately, we have the capacity to change our nature. and then jayce, realizing that he hasn't changed at all, not reallyâthat he is a scientist at heart, and he shouldn't have tried to be anything else. and then vi, realizing she has become someone unrecognizableânever thought my sister would turn bluebelly. and for both of them, it's too little, too late.

I gotta say I hate 70% of the men of this fandom. I donât know if anyone who doesnât identify as male has the same experience as me, but likeâŠtheyâre infuriating. I write âchange Mirielâs fateâ which basically means that I know about her fate, right? And they go âread the booksâ or âyou better never touch the Silmarillionâ or âYou donât have any idea of what happens to her in the booksâ like yeah you adorable âIâm the only one who has read the booksâ IDIOT. I know! If I havenât read this thing, I wouldnât be worrying or stressing over that matter. And guess what? Iâm an Adar truther. Love him. And today I made a comment saying I was sad with his and Celebrimborâs death and the idiot said âgo read the booksâ what about touching some grass, huh?
Theyâre like those marvel men that think that just males knows about the HQs and that also think that no women could possibly know more than them.
You told us you loved us. With all that is left of my heart. Too much to let you become Sauronâs slaves.

Whatâs amazing to me is that other people are walking around not thinking about Rings of Power all the time.
I've been a third all my life. Not saying that to fight, just saying that it's true. I feel like I get to pick one thing for myself, and it's her.
INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE | 2.06 + 2.07
this show really is cheeky when it comes to sauron and his relationships with other characters. galadriel? implied. adar? implied. celebrimbor? implied. your ex? implied. your ex's ex? implied as well. your mom? unfortunately, implied as well.
"You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out" or whatever RĂșmil wrote.
Critically-acclaimed, but couldn't be bothered to renew!? đ€ŠđŒââïž
Most of you were either not born or old enough to remember the 2006 Israeli war on Lebanon and the scale of the terror Israel inflicted. In 2006, Israel killed about 1,200 in Lebanon in 34 days which was the whole duration of the aggression. Yet, today alone, Israel killed close to 300 in Lebanon. This intensification is the direct result of the way Israel faced absolutely no consequences for its unprecedented violence in Gaza for a whole year.
SHOGUN â 1x01: "Anjin" | 1x10: "A Dream of a Dream
So what Iâm asking is this. Wouldnât you rather give it all at once to something real than carve off useless pieces till thereâs nothing left?
