Woman found injured but alive on a remote part of the Croatian island of Krk doesn't know who she is, but speaks fluent English (TW: for blood and facial injuries)

This is a developing story that is happening right now in my country and I thought it was my duty as somebody who has a slight platform to bring this up to the attention of as many people as possible. If we spread her image around the net, someone will hopefully be able to recognize her. I apologize in advance for any mistakes, as English is not my native language.

What we know so far: on Saturday the 11th, September of 2021, a local fisherman spotted a woman he didn't know on the rocks some distance away from a nearby popular beach. She didn't appear to be in bad spirits or in distress, and the area where she was at was not approachable to him by boat due to it being extremely rocky, but as she didn't call out to him he assumed she was just walking or relaxing there and paid it no mind.

However, the next day when he came back (Sunday the 12th), she yelled out to him asking for help in perfect English. As he could not get to her on his own due to the terrain making it impossible for him to dock there, he immediately called rescuers and a mission to save the unfortunate woman was underway. 12 members of HGSS Rijeka (Croatian alpine search and rescue organization) were dispatched to the scene and had to hike one mile to get to her.

They found the woman with some non-life threatening injuries, exhausted, dehydrated and disoriented. It was determined she spent the previous night there. She was unable to walk so they had to use a stretcher to carry her to the ambulance. She couldn't tell them who she was, as she could not remember and even today, over a week later, she can offer no answers to her identity and our police is asking the public for help.

The woman (and I can't stress it enough that I hate calling her 'the woman' because she has a name and identity and a life and deserves to be known as more than just "unknown woman found injured on the rocks") is estimated to be around 60 years of age, is of medium build, 165 cm tall, with blue eyes and blonde, short hair. I've seen it reported as shoulder-length but in the photos her hair looks a little shorter to me.

At the moment of discovery, she was dressed in a dark blue and white striped short-sleeve shirt with a hood, black Capri pants, white socks, dark blue and white sneakers and a magenta pick bucket hat. She had no ID or a mobile phone on her. The fisherman's wife who was also on the boat with him has said that they spoke in English and that to her it seemed that her accent could have been Scottish, but she wasn't sure.

I'd like to add that the fisherman should not be blamed for not helping her the day before, as she was not in distress, did not seem to be lost or injured from what he could tell and was not communicating with anyone nor asking for help, and only when he went back the day later, did she asked for help and make it known that something's not right. It's a good thing he went back because he likely saved her life.

She's currently still in the hospital in stable condition and recovering well, but the police are no closer to finding out who she is. Nobody knows how she got to where she was found or if there was any foul play involved, but there has to be somebody out there who knows who she is, that's why I implore you to share her photo wherever you can so we can help her reclaim her identity.

I'm including the photo of her face with the injuries she sustained because it's the only good photo of her we have right now, and of the rescue mission so you could get a better look at her clothes from when she was found.

before we begin, this is not intended to say no one can watch/be into any of the things listed below, it is to simply warn my fellow epileptics of things that could cause a photosensory-induced seizure. that is, to also say, some of these things have other flaws and issues within them, and anything listed here is not exempt of problems/criticism, but i am not here to criticize them for the flaws within the thing itself. once again, this is a warning so people can avoid having seizures.

neon genesis evangelion - this series has extremely bad flashing, i could not finish it because of this. nearly every fighting scene (which there are a lot of) has intense flashing lights and colors.

revolutionary girl utena - from what i have heard, this, along with many other old anime (such as eva, listed above) have a big issue with flashing colors and strobe effects. generally, i would advise doing your research/asking people around you before watching an older anime. these can be very dangerous.

genshin impact - the game's fight mechanics are filled with bright colors and flashing lights, and there isn't a warning until you've already installed, and opened the game (and even that is very vague). it's caused people headaches, so i would not be surprised if it would cause seizures as well. luckily, there is a manga if you want to get into the story, however, if you have epilepsy, i would be wary of the game itself.

metalocalypse - in the intro specifically, there are many flashing lights and colors. they are also sprinkled throughout the show itself. these scenes are skippable, but i would recommend someone else (who knows when these happen) watch it with you, and give you time to look away or warn you before the flash.

nbc hannibal - there are very few flashing scenes in this show, and the places where flashes happen are skippable. the most prominent are when dr. lecter is brainwashing will and another girl (who i do not remember exactly who right now). these scenes are entirely skippable, and i absolutely would recommend doing so. ps., there is also a scene where will graham has an on-screen seizure. while there aren't any strobe effects happening at the time, the scene itself was very triggering for me, and upset me for a while after watching it.

homestuck - if you have epilepsy, i cannot stress this enough, do not look at homestuck, or anything homestuck related. this comic is literally seizure hell. there are an incredible amount of strobes, intense flashing colors, and general flickering images. (the original google document listing out homestuck's issues did not mention this. so i am.)

spiderman: into the spiderverse - while the animation is beautiful, this movie is chock full of bright colors and flashes. i was able to sit through it, but did get a headache afterwards. i would especially not recommend watching it in a dark-lit room, as it makes this issue worse.

mob psycho 100 - this show has a lot of bright colors that flash and are generally very eye-strainy. i had to skip out on a lot of this, but it may be watchable with the screen dimmed, depending on person to person.

dorohedoro - in most, if not all, of the dorohedoro openings, there are intense flashing colors and strobe effects. the rest of the show is pretty okay, but i would skip the openings (and endings) whenever possible.

half life - this has very minor flashes around the resonance cascade, but other than that, ive been told its fine to watch.

rwby - there are some flashy scenes, but i have never watched this show, so i can not elaborate in full detail about them. just be wary!

ghost (vocaloid producer) - many of the music videos include flashing colors and strobe effects in them. if you want to listen to their music, i would recommend going into a different tab or avoiding the actual music videos themself.

lisa the painful - this game has red flashing screens throughout the game, if you are going to try to play, i would advise having someone tell you when exactly these flashes are, or just watch a playthrough of it, but you may need to avoid it entirely.

if you're not epileptic, i encourage you to reblog this post and add any media you know that could be seizure-inducing (please include a small blurb on what the flashing is, whether it's avoidable, etc.) please do not start fights in the notes. this is a resource for people who experience seizures and want to avoid having them. thank you. ❤️

First of all, he drinks his respect women juice, so jot that the fuck down.

He tries to be an old-fashioned gentleman towards you, no matter what your gender is. Holding doors open, carrying your bags, bridal carrying you, the works.

Speaking of carrying you, he'll do so at any opportunity. And I mean any opportunity. Hope you don't mind surprise lifts!

He can't have a traditional job because he's so recognisable, so he's happy to be a househusband. He'll cook, clean, anything you need.

If anything, he can be overbearing, not letting you do anything for yourself. If you want this relationship to last, please talk this out with him.

All he asks in return is that you don't try to stop his whole... uh... hero killing thing.

You don't have to agree with it- hell, he might even manage to respect you even more somehow if you have a good reason for disagreeing with him- but just don't try and stop him, mkay?

If you're supportive, he might run his dramatic speeches past you before he heads out. If not, then he'll just pace in the living room and rehearse to himself.

Whether you agree with his beliefs or not, expect a lot of discussions and debates about the state of hero society. It's his favourite thing to talk about.

Also, don't expect him to tell you his real name any time soon. Telling you his name will be his ultimate sign of trust.

Expect most of your dates to be at home together. He can't go out in public much because of his... distinctive appearance. (ie the heroes would be jumping his ass the instant they recognised him.)

Still, he'll use these date nights to absolutely pamper you. A bubble bath, a face mask, a massage; anything to help you relax and feel good.

The man is completely and utterly devoted to you.

The only thing stopping him from being a sugar daddy is that he has no fucking money.

If either of you have to be away from each other for any reason, expect long love letters from Stain detailing just how much he misses you. It's borderline Victorian.

He won't seek out cuddles or kisses on his own, but if you like them, then he'll be sure to give you as many as he can. He lives to please, after all.

His favourite way to cuddle is with you on his lap, his arms around you and head rested on top of yours. Yes, even if you're taller than him. (Which isn't likely, but I guess nothing's impossible.)

Also, you probably figured this out already, but the guy's possessive as fuck. He won't say it outright, but you can tell from a lot of the little things he does.

He'll wrap you up in his scarf before you leave the house, he'll leave hickeys where they can't be seen but can sure be felt, when you do go out in public he'll have his arm around you the whole time...

Needless to say, if anyone harasses you while he's there, they're as good as dead... the one time a guy tries to grab your ass, he chops his hand off on the spot.

All in all, Stain might be an absolutely terrible person, but he's pretty okay as a boyfriend! As long as you don't care about his appearance or his morals, at least.
