Hello followers and moots, here is a reminder that I have OCD, and I'm making it Mista's problem as well /silly

My OCD type tends to revolve around superstition, thusly Mista's superstitions kinda just hit a bit close.

Since this week is OCD Awareness week, I made a comic. While obviously comedic, there is a genuine bit of seriousness to the "Don't"s. The TL;DR on that matter is that pwOCD know more about their OCD than you do, and also respect their boundaries.

!! IF THE COMIC IS HARD TO READ, HERE IS A TRANSCRIPT !!

"This year, OCD Awareness Week is Oct. 13-19! (OCD Awareness Week is the second full week of October)"

"I have OCD! So in celebration, Here are some DOs and DON'Ts with OCD!"

"DON'T: Ask questions about obsessions or compulsions! These are personal!"

"DO: Give me 50 Dollars."

"DON'T: Say I'm faking, Say OCD isn't real, say I'm "trying to be special", etc. (Why would you do this)"

"DO: Give me 50 Dollars."

"DON'T: Point out obsessions or compulsions! (Some may be okay with jokes. Always ask and be respectful!)"

"DO: Give me 50 Dollars."

"DON'T: Psychoanalyze me (Yes, some people try to play therapist)"

"DO: Give me 50 Dollars."

"DON'T: Try to fix me (Yes, with time and proper methods, OCD can be alleviated. A random person cannot properly do that though)"

"DO: Give me 50 Dollars."

"And that's how you be a GREAT ally <3"

Light gray background with large thin black letters saying "Get Visible", small black letters in parenthesis underneath saying "against fascism". To the right behind part of the lettering, filling one third of the image, stands a light brown, long haired dog with tall pointy ears. They are looking at the viewer with green eyes, wearing a handkerchief collar of blue and yellow like the Ukrainian flag. Gripped in their teeth is a ripped red cloth with a swastika partially visible on it. The red ripped fabric is hanging down artfully raggedly, and occurs a little bit like blood. Standing on a field of tall grass and foxglove type flowers in colors of the pride progress flag. The grass and flowers fill the lower quarter of the image, and reaches to the middle of the dogs legs. A tiny artist signature is at the tip of one of the flowers.

Wish more people were protesting??

Here's the thing, fellas. What people need, before we act is, we need evidence that other people are also doing the thing.

It's called "Social Proof" and its baked into our neurology. It's a big part of the reason so few people are participating in the resistance right now. It's why the news not covering the protests is such a brutally effective tactic. And why the lack of cohesive dem leadership is such a blow.

It's also literally THE EASIEST effective action to take irl, and it's impossible to do wrong - thank the gods!

*** GET VISIBLE ***

about your beliefs. Fly a flag, make a car sign, yard sign, window sign, bumper sticker, wear a big patch, paint a hoodie, paint a mural, paint rocks - ANYTHING. Do anything that's VISIBLE.

The more we show, the more it tells other people's brains that they can act too. Is this signaling?? You betcher ass it is. What it's NOT though, is empty signaling. In this time with corporate virtue signaling melting like wet kleenex, a lot of folks are wondering who has their backs. Well thats US. WE have your backs. We have OUR backs. The more we show, the fewer nazi's feel empowered to act. The fewer bootlicking officials think they can bowl over your town. Every not visibly progressive space is a space nazis will assume shares their white supremacist values.

Even if your people are not "political yard sign people" they may be able to be convinced that now is the time to get tacky with it. See if you can get the neighbors on either side of you to Get Visible (against fascism) with you - or the whole block - there is safety in numbers! I understand it may not be safe for you, and obviously please run that equation. Possibly leave more art/signs in public spaces. But leave room to be surprised at who wants to participate in fighting fascism.

This week, commit to doing 1 thing to Get Visible, and to get 1 other person to Get Visible too. Pause now to put in on your to-do/calendar, I’ll wait :] Okay great, now think of 1 friend to video call with later, and make it crafty fun. Go ham!! Tell us in the comments, or rb with pics to help inspire the rest of us to GET VISIBLE. It may seem small or silly but it's very literally how YOU can get this movement off the ground and fucking save our country and our people.

it fucking sucks being a disabled person who can't work and having to see these fuckass posts where someone's like "ahaha jobless people have no life and that's why everyone shitty online has No Job" and everyone and their mother reblogs it joyfully onto my dash for me to see. yes unemployed and unemployable people are truly without exception dogshit people with no hobbies and no redeeming qualities. you're so right. anyway if you'll excuse me i have to start my shift at the I'll Never Be Employed Because Of Permanent Disability And I Love Knowing How You Really See Me store

All of these are amazing, I'm focusing on the OCD one rn! This is what a cool OCD plushie could look like! This art is amazing, and I love it! Maybe some '1,2,3' stitching on the back of the paws, but like other than that I love it! It's cute, it's fun, it's got cool details, I especially love the spiral motif, really feels like how it feels to spiral into intrusive immoral thoughts!

A drawing of an angry yellow bunny with soft reddish lineart. They are standing to the left with their right hand on their hip. They have gradient blue-to-red ears with white infinity symbols, red and blue paws, and a white belly with a rainbow infinity on it. The back n ground is a lighter yellow with pink and blue bubbles surrounding them.
A drawing of a confused white and grey bunny with soft blue lineart. They are sitting down with their paws on their cheeks. They have upright ears, a zipper around their head, and large fluffy fur around their neck. They also have spirals on their eyes, stomach, and paw pads. Their inner ears, neck fluff, eyes, stomach, and paw pads all have a blue-to-cyan gradient. The background is of dark blue clouds, with a lighter cyan surrounding the character like a spiraling pool of water.
A drawing of an irritated brown jackalope with harsh dark brown lineart. They are standing outwardly with their hooves out like claws. They have big, floppy ears, dark hooves, and dark messy fur on their head, neck, and tail. They also have red horns, a red stomach, and red inner ears, all of which having circle-backslash symbols on it. They also have red and white stitches all over their body. To the left of the character, there is a small chibi head showing them somewhat calmed in a happy hoodie, which is white with various brown symbols on it. The background is dark mahogany with an explosive red surrounding the character.

some plushie dreadful redesigns i made a bit back! redesigns of autism, ocd, and misophonia respectively

ok but like, what's up with the hate on furries actually? What did they do ever? I'm sure there are some bad people that have done disgusting things in the furry fandom, but most of the people I see getting made fun of for being furries didn't actually do anything other than share a passion of theirs. The whole 'anti-furry' thing is stupid and cringe culture is dead anyway.
