Had to do a double take because I thought this was round the corner of where I live. Semi-rural UK just looks like this
instagram | photos are my own, reblogs fine, do not repost/reuse
does anyone even read captions or is this just me coming up with an excuse to not write one?
my dissertation hot take is that when online publishing platforms like Medium or Science restrict their academic content ('you have to be a subscribed member to read this article :(' , 'you've reached your max amount of free articles today sowwy') deadass they shouldn't get a citation. i don't care.
if you as a distributor of academic content start arbitrarily restricting what previously accessible content can/cannot be seen on random days for random users AND you don't even have the integrity to put the publishing date, DOI, author's full name - all that essential stuff - before that stupid fucking banner cut-off, you ain't making it into my references. you'll be reduced a to hyperlink and an apology note, you nasty little capitalist leech
I'm back. Forgot this account existed and now deadlines are coming up wooohoooo
This happens a lot in a couple of 1-person study rooms in my library, so every 10 minutes I need to pause working, roll back on my chair and flail my arms a bit.
dark academia (sitting in one place so long the library's motion-sensitive lights have turned off)
My software design process is like 90% "what will take the least amount of effort to implement and test" and I think this is morally correct, actually
Bony, get the fuck up. We are revising your head and neck
this is the end folks
i know people will say its not perfect and etc etc but the point isn't how convincing it is now, its how fast it evolved to this point. imperfections will be ironed out and the internet the internet is a warzone
