i have a tendency to spoil things for myself because i’m too eager so i’m challenging myself to read crime and punishment without spoiling it for myself and it’s so hard but it also has made me much more motivated to read so maybe there’s some virtues to this
i’ve seen ppl criticize both kitty and natasha for being tolstoy’s overly stereotypical girl characters and while i hate tolstoy and think he was a misogynist, those girls are also just like me… so. maybe he was onto something there.
