What is your stance on the issues?
not related to that ask but it's always so odd how many PR fans will conflate "eras" with quality. "power rangers back at disney this is about to be peak" as if it was the company that made the show good and not the people who worked on it
if you love ninja storm and dino thunder, it's because of doug sloan and ann austen. if you love spd, it's because of greg aronowitz. jackie marchand wrote 130+ episodes across 14 seasons and i guarantee you she contributed more to what people like about this show than haim saban or bob iger
I was a huge Powers Rangers fan since I was 4 (I still remember my first episode), and remained a fan in 2010 when I found out about Sentai (thanks Dino Thunder) but started to become less interested the following year with Gokaiger (as well as finding out about Kamen Rider. OOO and Fourze are beloved to me to this very day), but I always continued to watch PR and be informed about it thanks to my little brother (who became an fan during the 2010s), and it's still a huge part of my childhood.
I like the Disney era and always felt that, in some aspects, was an natural evolution from the Saban Entertainment era (once I started watching them when I was 9), but I knew that it was because of the love and care given by the staff, and not by the company themselves, who never liked the franchise to the point where they tried to kill them multiple times since they felt it never fit their brand, and only became their property as a result of them buying Fox Family/Freeform (and with it, Saban's library).
Sure, Saban Brands has issues (especially during their first half), and Hasbro treated the franchise very poorly, but at least it wasn't the sheer Apathy demonstrated by the Mouse Company, which is why so many of us are worried about the involvement of Disney+ in the possible reboot, if it happens (i'll take any news with grains of salt unless I see any footage or photos). Sure, Disney's involvement would mean that the reboot would have a decent budget, but it might also mean that there's an chance the show won't get the proper care (or tone) it deserves or needs.
I hope the reboot's a success if it happens, especially if it has the involvement of the people responsible for the Percy Jackson series.
I'm glad that people are still having fun on tumblr even after we found out about the frightening ghoul that reblogs posts but doesn't say anything
it blows my mind how you can be a usamerican on this website and spend the past year+ reblogging posts about palestine, (rightfully) condemning the genocide, the occupation, denouncing zionism, and acknowledging that theres no excuse for joining the IOF, only to then turn around and suddenly act shocked and offended when the victims of US imperialism extend the same hatred and vitriol towards your military. all the horrific crimes the IOF is committing against the palestinian people, the US military has committed over and over across the globe, whether it is in cuba or korea, laos or afghanistan, iraq or vietnam, but god forbid you point this out because then all of a sudden the worlds most thin skinned people will crawl out of the woodworks to explain why US soldiers are actually just poor little meow meows. how are you any different from a zionist. be serious. and stop expecting the victims of your countrys imperialism, that you benefit from, to coddle you

i think it would be kinda fun to do a watch thru of every 'launching point' godzilla movie (as in, each film that's been presented as a titular introduction to a specific era or series. yes including both american versions). it would be a fun way to get a feel for how each iteration of the franchise has shifted.
