recently read through the entire Lackadaisy webcomic + extra comics, and I think I'm in love with this series.

The artwork is amazing, and the story is fantastic.

I got this idea from sketching her at school, I was imagining her in random scenarios and this one was her getting drunk off her ass and stole Wick’s cane.

(Tbh I kinda just wanted an excuse to draw her with a cane)

Working on more art that explains some ‘backstory’ kinda stuff, since I know some of my friends would be into that I’d think some people on here would too.

Where's the rest of Marianne's family? What is her relationship with her brother (both when Marianne was young and now, when they're adults)?

Hi, thank you for the question! Sorry it took me awhile to answer life and procrastination got in the way 😅 but here we go:

So the relationship with her brother, Sebastian, has always been strong even as kids. Despite an 8 year age gap, Sebastian adored his little sister taking care of her (practically raising her) since their parents were always too busy with their own business deals.

They left their grandmother back in Còrdoba and the family had moved to Florida making their own arrangements in selling illegal wine.

While young Maríanne was in her own world, Sebastian was always suspicious of the men that would come around their house and chat with his parents. The young boy always had a feeling that things wouldn’t end well.

To this day, he hated how right he was…

As adults they went their separate ways. They still write letters to each other on occasion to see if the other is still alive and the update in each other of their daily lives.

However, the letters tend to get lost (sometimes) since running under an alias can confuse the mailman.
