“You know how much school means to me.” (Grayson)

Requested by anonymous: “One where Y/N’s dating G and besties with E, and she’s really stressed out about school bc it’s the time of year where everything’s piling up, and bc of all the stress she gets into a big fight with both the boys over something trivial? And the next day they both show up to her house with resources and stuff, and they help her study?”

“Alright everyone, the study guide is posted online. Begin preparing for the exam next week.” You professor said to the class as you all left.

“I swear that’s all I’ve heard from my professors today.” Your friend said to you as she caught up to you.

“Same here. But, I’m holding a study session for this class at the library tomorrow night.” You said.

“I will be there.” The two of you both had a break in your days so you got something to eat before you had to get to your next classes.

Later that evening, you were holding a study session for one of your other classes. This was something that you were sort of known for. After a few slip ups with your grades when you started school, you cracked down on your study habits and after you began sharing them with a few of your friends, your other classmates wanted to share your study tips and habits, so you began holding study sessions for pretty much all of your classes since your second semester of your freshman year.

“(Y/N), thank you so much for setting these up. I really appreciate it. If it weren’t for these study sessions, I would not know anything that is going on in class.” One of your classmates said as they sat down at the table with you.

“I’m glad I could be of service.” You laughed. You and your classmates studied for a few hours and once you all felt like you’d done enough studying for the night, you all called it night and headed home.

As the days continued to go on, and the work continued to pile up, you began to get crazy stressed about everything. You were cancelling your study sessions over and over again, and you felt so bad, but you could barely find the time to study for yourself, much less with anyone else.

“Don’t worry about it. We’re all busy, and we all understand a heavy workload. Do what you gotta do. You’ve already done so much for many of us, we’ll be alright.” One of your friends said. You apologized once more, and headed home to get some work done. A few hours passed, and there was a knock on your front door.

“That better be my pizza.” You sighed as you got up. You opened the door to find Ethan and Grayson standing outside. “You’re not the pizza guy.”

“Ouch, kinda hurt.” Ethan laughed as you hugged.

“Oh, sorry. I’m just starving.” You said. Grayson pulled you into his arms and pressed a kiss to the top of your head. “What are you doing here?”

“You told us we could take you out to dinner tonight.” Grayson said as you followed him into your living room.

“Dammit, another thing I forgot about. Guys, I’m so sorry, but I can’t tonight. I have so much homework and studying to do.” You said as they made themselves comfortable on your couch.

“(Y/N), come on. Take a break for a little bit. Come hang with us for a while.” Grayson said as he pulled you down into his lap.

“I don’t have a while to spare.”

“I told you she wasn’t gonna go for it.” Ethan sighed.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” You asked, raising an eyebrow at Grayson.

“I thought I could convince you to come out with us tonight. You’ve been so busy with school, you barely have time for anything else anymore.” He sighed.

“Anything else, meaning you?” You asked. He looked down at the floor and let out a loud sigh.

“You canceled our plans over the weekend, so we rescheduled for tonight, and now your cancelling on us again.”

“Grayson, you know how much school means to me, and you know how badly I want to get my degree and get a good job. I’m sorry that you think I’m too busy for you, but you know it keeps me busy around midterms and finals. That’s not my fault.”

“Of course, when it comes to school, it’s the only thing you’re allowed to focus on.”

“Why are you so upset over the fact that I want a secure future?”

“I’m not upset over that, I’m upset over the fact that you apparently no longer have time for me anymore.”

“Grayson, do you not hear how childish you’re sounding right now?”

“You can’t put this off for ONE night so we can spend some time together?” Grayson said, standing up.

“Grayson, calm down.” Ethan said quietly, causing you to jump since you’d forgotten he was there.

“Yeah, why don’t you go home and calm down. I’m over having this argument because you feel like you’re the only thing I’m allowed to focus on.”

After the twins left, and your pizza finally was delivered, you tried to refocus on your studies, but you were too distracted so you decided to call it a night.

The next day was Saturday, so you were ready to spend all day studying. You turned your music on, got your books and materials, sat in the living room and got to working. A few hours went by and all you could think about was your fight with Grayson. Just as you picked up your phone to call him, there was a knock on your door. You got up to answer it, and the twins were there on the other side.

“What are you two doing here?” You asked quietly.

“We are here to help you study. We found textbooks at the bookstore, we’ve got food and drinks, and we’re gonna get all these reviews and papers done.” Ethan said as he set up his things in the living room.

“Also, I needed to apologize for that conversation we had last night. I was being a total ass about everything. I don’t know anything about being in college, but I do know that school can get stressful. And I’m sorry for making you feel like you had to choose between me and your studies. I should’ve been more supportive.” Grayson said.

“I’m sorry too. I should’ve been more understanding of how you felt. I’m real bad about letting school consume me and not making time for anything else. But, I will try and be better at keeping my commitments. Especially when they come to you.” You said. Grayson smiled down at you and pulled you into his arms. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” He said, kissing you softly.

“Alright, now that you two have kissed and made up, let’s get to it. We’ve got concepts to learn and definitions to memorize.” Ethan called from the living room. You laughed and went over to sit next to him, hugging and thanking him as well. They helped you study for most of the day, and as you finished more of your papers, you couldn’t help but smile, thinking about how grateful you were to have them in your life.
