i don’t even know man
yaoi glasses off: inho's time with gihun has made him rethink his life choices, has given him a kid of hope in humanity that he had lost so many years ago and now he doesn't feel good playing the part of the frontman. the old inho is coming back, he feels guilty and sad, but hopeful. gihun is quite literally his light, and he has made sure to burn it.

(found family au) what would gi-hun and in-ho if one of their kids got in a big argument/fight with each other? maybe a slight disagreement happened it quickly escalated, some insults were thrown but the lowblows made it worse like a gasoline to a fire. thanos and sae-byeok come to mind for this tbh. it wasn't a big of a deal at first but it happened fast cuz these two have strong personalities so it suddenly became a big thing. sae-byeok called su-bong a good for nothing piece of shit junkie and su-bong yelled that sae-byeok should have died at the border by a bullet (oof. the angst... )
oh this is foul 😭
okay so i think inho would be the first to react, in this situation. up to this point, he'd been letting gihun take the reigns, watching as he tries to descalate - saebyeok never backs down and subong is volatile so the two of them butt heads often.
but then, they both say those things and inho has had enough. he lets out a sharp "hey!" and both kids turn to him. he continues, "that's enough." and they both look ashamed but still glaring at each other.
gihun had been frozen, just watching his children say those hurtful things to each other and unable to understand why, but finally manages to talk. "we don't talk like to each other. we don't. we're a family." he then tells them to apologize to each other, which they do begrudgingly. and that's when gihun sees that he isn't actually getting through to them.
he says that they are being immature and childish, that they will never repeat those words to each other unless they want to be grounded for a year. that their past and their mistakes is never something that should be used to hurt each other. never.
inho ends it all by saying, "go to your rooms and don't come out until you are ready to apologize to each other sincerely."
He really did want to pretend for a moment that everything was normal between them. I feel like he also just really misses having ppl who care. During the Mingle game, when he goes off to “find another group”, we can clearly see how happy everyone in his group was when he survived. Jung bae literally hugs him when he finally sees him and everyone is smiling and it’s just SO sweet. Inho might have money and power and stuff but in the end, being the frontman is really fucking lonely. Everyone obeys because they have to. They’re around because they need to be. Because he holds power. The games gave him a moment to be normal again. And he cherished it for as long as he could.
like ok heres the thing. inho infiltrated the games to earn gihuns trust and then break him and get him on his side right. ok. but he didnt have to do everything he did.
like, he didnt have to defend him so threateningly against player 100 (arguably... possessively... like bro he aint going NOWHERE calm your ass DOWN!!!) or like, he didnt have to call him 'gihun', he couldve, SHOULD HAVE, called him 'hyung', but he calls him fucking??? gi-hun-shi?????? INSANE BEHAVIOUR.
he didn't HAVE to smile at him then, so bright-eyed. he didn't have to share his tragic backstory. he didn't even have to fucking help him with the revolution, he didn't have to shoot his guards he could've pretended to be a terrible shot. he could've betrayed him anytime and yet chose to maintain his mystery until he got away from gi-hun and FAKED HIS DEATH. like what possibly could he gain from this?? gi-hun must find out who he is sooner or later, who cares if it's sooner??
HE CARES. HE. CARES. whether you view them romantically or not, in-ho CARES. there's a piece of him that plays into this entire inner conflict that makes him CARE. FOR GI-HUN. HE CARES FOR GI-HUN even to SOME degree. and that is INSANE to me.
Here we have Angel Crowley and Demon Aziraphale in my Jolly Premonitions series. I saw this photo of David and Michael and my brain worms woke up. Aziraphale -> Ezra - A demon who doesn't want to do true evil but evil in order to help God. Is fearful of the powers in play for both of them but mainly AngCrowley. He is a lower class demon as he was a lower class Angel but gets tons of props due to the nature of a certain angel helping him. He fell because he didn't want Angel Crowley to get in trouble so he took the blame for the questions before he even could join Lucifer's gang. He feels strongly for AngCrowley that he's such an amazing angel and keeps pushing them to be Arch Angel because he believes the heaven and the world would be better Crowley -> Raphael/Tabris/Shamsiel/Lailah - Higher Arch Angel that hates the bureaucracy of it all since they stopped letting him create. They avoid going back to Heaven as much as they can by saying he is twarting a powerful demon (this helps Erza amongst Demons and makes Ang Crowely seem weaker to not work back up there) They realize that Heaven is a shitty system ever since they made Ezra fall (they blame themselves heavily for that) She also knows down the line that things will go down but she doesn't want to be in charge so she DOES EVERYTHING SHE CAN NOT TO BE AN ARC ANGEL. I find that AngelCrowley would love Ezra a bit more openly than his demon counter part. Support me on kofi, tips, commissions
I mean, im pretty sure the director has confirmed them as sort of two sides of the same coin so the idea that Inho would want Gihun to live the life he couldn’t, to make better choices with the money he’s won and be there for those he has left in his life, is definitely a good reason.
DO YOU THINK MAYBE IN-HO REALLY WANTED GI-HUN TO LEAVE AND GO VISIT GA-YEONG NOT JUST TO HAVE HIM AWAY FROM THE GAMES BUT ALSO BECAUSE IN-HO CAN NEVER HAVE WHAT GI-HUN STILL DOES?? A CHILD?!! DO YOU THINK IN-HO TOLD GI-HUN TO BOARD THAT PLANE BECAUSE IF HIS WIFE AND CHILD HAD SURVIVED IN-HO WOULD HAVE BOARDED!! THAT!! PLANE?!!?!!!!! DO YOU- DO YOU THNIK HHHHHHHhhhh

men are so privileged they dont even realized how oppressed they really are
See, the thing about Hizashi that compels me is that he is a man of so much rage who is expected to put up an act. He has multiple jobs and has a duty to present himself as an outgoing and charismatic figure.
But he's more complex than that. He feels so many things. He's angry. He's grieving. He is traumatized. He has seen and continues to see horrors that would break most people.
And he has to act like it isn't suffocating from it all because his friends need him to be there for him. His students need him. Everyone needs him. And so he just buries it all and never allows himself to feel.
The day that man finally crumbles will be an agonizing day
