Hobie was your... You and him you were... Okay, it wasn't quite defined yet, but you surely liked each other very much. Even if you didn't put a clear label on your relationship, he was yours and you were his.

You often go to his concerts, listening to his band while drinking cheap alcohol until the wee hours of the morning. Some other times, you two just stayed at yours or his place, cuddling while watching some film. An horror movie if it's his turn to choose. The rest of the time he'd gone god knows where, fighting capitalism, dismantling systems of oppression rebelling against injustices,...

Tonight it's one of those nights. You decided to spend the evening watching your favorite movie and then go to sleep early. Even if you liked being with Hobie very much, you truly had a lack of sleep because of it.

You were sleeping deeply when you heard someone come in your room. You jumped out of the bed to take the baseball bat hanging on your wall, scared and ready to kick the ass of the intruder.

"Hey, easy there. You don't wanna break my nose don't you ?"

Hobie was there, a grin on his face. He turned on the light of the room.

"Hobie ! I though that was an intruder!" You scowled at his while putting the bat away.

"You aren't happy to see me ?"

"Hobie. It's three in the morning."

"And? I missed you, love."

You tried to maintain an angry face, you really did. But when he puts his hands around your waist to draw you to him, you melted in his arms right away. You let him him kiss you softly, even if you did pout for the principle.

"I really need to sleep you know?"

"Yeah, I know love. I'm here now, let's go to sleep."

He then draws you to the bed, below your blanket. And it's in his protective embrace that you fell asleep again, having a better night now that he's with you.
