Fandom: DP x DC Ship: Dead on Main (Jason/Danny) Inspired by this post

Jason was relaxing with a book in one of the student lounges at Gotham U. It had been hours since his last class ended, but this couch was comfortable and he’d just reached an interesting point in his book. He’d read it before, but that was beside the point. Around him the lounge area had emptied out as it had neared dinner time. The TV had been left on by someone and it was now playing reruns of Wheel of Fortune - easily ignorable background noise, so Jason hadn’t bothered to locate the remote.

Footsteps behind him instantly drew his attention but he kept his shoulders relaxed and his eyes on the book. He’d stopped reading but still turned a page. He waited for the footsteps to pass by, but they didn’t. They stopped right behind him. They-

“Fuck me in the ass tonight?” There was a note of disbelief in the question.

Jason’s head snapped up, bewildered and saw a young man: black hair, blue eyes, short, slight build, looked like a stiff wind could blow him over - not a threat, the back of his mind concluded. He had been looking towards the direction of the TV, but when Jason turned to look at him he snapped suddenly horrified eyes onto Jason. His face turned increasingly red. He completely clammed up.

Intrigued Jason looked at the screen showing Wheel of Fortune and ah-

He suddenly understood.

“Luck be in the air tonight,” he announced confidently.

There was the sound of a slap and Jason turned to find the other man covering his face with a groan and a mumbled, “not for me it isn’t.”

Jason found a smirk stretching his lips and he just couldn’t help it.

“Well that depends?”

Danny was absolutely mortified, he couldn’t believe he’d said that out loud and not only that but a handsome stranger had heard his absolute fail, but that last statement had him pausing. He let his hand fall away. The smirk he was met with made his knees feel a little weak.

“Depends?” Danny squeaked.

And oh shit, the man stood up and walked towards him and he was like a head taller than Danny and he looked like he could fold Danny in half. Danny gulped, he definitely had a problem. And then he was standing right up in Danny’s space.

The little agreeing hum from deep in the man’s chest set Danny’s body on fire. He leaned in close to Danny’s ear so he could feel the cool air of his breath tickling the short hairs at the nape of his neck.

“Depends on how much you meant the first statement.”

Danny’s brain broke a little.

The man was completely frozen before Jason and he leaned back with a small frown, slightly worried.

“You okay?” Jason asked.

It took a moment, before he seemingly came online again. He blinked and focused back on Jason.

“Is this a joke?”

Jason shrugged, suddenly self-conscious, because he didn’t really normally flirt and he was starting to feel like he should back further away. He didn’t, but it was a close thing.

“If you want it to be?” He finally settled on.

“And if I don’t?”

Jason sucked in a breath when blue eyes met his own. He wet his lips nervously, feeling like he was balancing on the summit of a mountain about to take a plunge. “Then it’s not.”

“Oh, thank fuck.”

Jason barely registered the words before he was pulled down into a kiss with surprising strength, and there were hands in his hair tugging deliciously and it was Jason’s back hitting a wall and huh, maybe he needed to re-assess the threat level, but later; Jason was busy right now.

Damian was reeling in pain before he even knew what hit him. Well, he knew what hit him.

The demon heir knew he was in for a wild ride when Drake managed to intercept a message for the league from an alias that charged at him like a bull. - Spare. Maybe it was the monotone he took on when reciting it like a fact or the Laissez-faire attitude the Al Ghuls had toward the sender. But, he knew he was in for it when the whole table went silent. "You have a what?"

Or that he's been with Father for 8 years and only managed to remember his twin brother now. --- The flight over gave Damien the time to think... Think of just how little he knew his blood brother. Danyal wasn't good at anything, Grandfather and Mother have told him as such. It wasn't helping his conscience that the last memory he had of his twin was when he pushed him out of the tower. --- Standing face to face with his blue-eyed counterpart on the other side of the doorway in the rain. He's done what he's always wanted. Tell himself his brother that they're finally free. That no one could take their freedom again. That they could finally live together with Father and the rest. But something was wrong.

Danny's Danyal's expression never changed. He just looked at his older twin with the face of a dead man. Our muscles rest in death. But Danyal's never moved. He should've been relieved. He should be happy. "Heir to the Demon's Head, if what you say is true. Then make yourself scarce and vanish." What? "Danya-"

"The name's Danny, and this is your final chance. Otherwise, I'll have to stay true to my word. Stay out of my life." The sound echoed in his ears more than the numerous voices over the comms. Staring face to face, a heaviness fell in his chest. There was something there. Something he missed. Another thing he failed to remember.

---- 11 years ago, he had his brother by his league garb, dangling the tower. His 7-year-old self was furious. He was a trained assassin. And here he was, looking at scum beneath his feet with a face matching his. Damien was spoiled. Unspokenly, he reveled in the attention. The pride from his grandfather, the love of his mother, and everyone respected him. Everyone feared him! Everyone but him. Danyal may lose out to him in everything else but Danyal always had a way to get under his skin. Here he was, the heir, having to bear what it looked like to lose, to be a disappointment. All because they have the same face. Now, with tears dripping down his face. "You'll never change."

---- Tell. That's what he did.

Right? That was what he was supposed to do. He listened to his father repeat the plan five times on the flight over. He tells him brother that they're finally free.

He tells him that no one could take their freedom again.

He asks him if they would want to finally live together with Father and the rest.

That's what he did.

RIGHT?!

The vile taste on his tongue told him what he didn't want to hear. He wasn't to blame for this. He wouldn't have if Danyal Danny didn't address him that way.

Oh, god.

He ordered him.

He ordered Danyal Danny again.

---- Another thing about his twin came to mind now too. Danny always performed his best with projectiles. Shurikens, Needles, especially crossbows. Any close challenge with him always came down to a ranged weapon. He couldn't deny that he was impressed with his brother's first and second kills being through two men with the same shuriken. Even if he did watch his sniveling brother shed tears afterward. It should've been no surprise that Danny was the quickest and precise shot in the west. What was a surprise was that he only remembered that at the of his brother's gun. Just to be pistol-whipped to the ground before everything went black.

DP x DC Crack Prompt

Its the usual shebang, the JL, YJ, and TT need help defeating some demon hellbent on destroying their world for whatever reason, and they're struggling, when Raven hesitantly says she has someone she can summon to help. Due to her hesitancy, everyone assumes whoever she's summoning must be a huge deal, and really risky, but at this point it looks like their only hope, so Raven summons him;

The King Of The Infinite Realms; Phantom. A hulking figure with a crown of cool flame, with teeth as sharp as Tungsten, and a heart as dark and cold as- wait is that little Rae-Rae?!

The King starts gushing over Raven, much to her embarrassment as he complains she never visits him anymore. He laments about the days when she was just a little baby and came to the Infinite Realms meetings with her father, coloring pictures of demons while Danny and the other ancients passed her various sweets and toys to keep her occupied, and that time she told Trigon he was a "big stupid head and she was staying with the other ancients from then on"!, and all the mischief she got up go with Dani/Ellie in Phantom's Keep when they had sleepovers.

Raven, heavily embarrassed, calls him "Your Highness" while trying to get the conversation back on track, but the King looks super hurt by that so she eventually caves and calls him "Uncle Phantom" like she usually does, and finally gets him to take care of their demon problem.

The payment for this favor? Raven has to go to Phantom's Keep every other month or so for tea with Him, and Dani/Ellie.

Raven agrees, and thus the universe is saved, and all it costed was Raven's dignity[/j].

The Teen Titans are kinda is a hard situation though. On one hand; "Ha! He called her Rae-Rae!" And they wanted to hear more baby stories, on the other, her Uncle is apparently the King Of Every Known Universe and then some, do they really want to tease her about this?

The answer is yes.

So, if the Infinite Realms is basically a connection for many many many dimensions do you think Danny would go to the dc dimension after realizing what this means

Like imagine dc is also a fandom in the ‘Danny Phantom’ universe that Danny is a big fan of. He would never think that such a world exists but the idea of it is so cool, and he wish he can go to a world such as that. 

But that was before he kind-of-sort-of-possibly-died-and-is-now-currently-half-dead-and-would-you-look-at-that-he-became-ghost-king-what-a-small-world-we-live-in

well, it’s about to get smaller

Now when he finds out that the Infinite Realms is a connection to other realms, he doesn’t think much of it because he thinks it’s like worlds that have a boy Sam or Mr. Lance as president kind of thing. He doesn’t think much of it until he realizes the extent of what “dimensions” means

Finding out that one of your childhood heroes are real in a different world literally blew his mind

So, imagine this young teenage Ghost King DC nerd willingly going to the dc universe to geek out and possible spook his heroes for the heck of it

Oh! IDEA!!!!!

What if he goes to the dc!universe back and forth where to him it would be like a day and it would be weeks or even years in the dc!universe so he would be young even if years pass by. The heroes are being haunted by this weird ghost kids for years!

WAIT

What if the Bats were his favorite heroes? 

Like imagine an excited Danny going to Gotham expecting to see Batman but came during the time when Bruce was still a child and was disappointed, like, he wanted to see big bad batman not a child >:0

But every time he comes back, he would just like watch over Bruce thinking like how this kid couldn’t possibly be Batman while also getting attached to the child Bruce. Durning the night he would tuck him in tighter, hum a tone when their alone or blowing cold air his way when its summertime. The little things. 

Bruce thinks it’s his imaginary friend or like the spirit of Gotham

(shot i made another idea in an idea but i’ll come back to that later)

Danny comes back one day to find out it’s been days since the murder of the Wayne’s, and he’s excited to see how the Batman comes to life only to see a devastated crying and depressed Bruce.

that’s when he realized he was waiting for a murder in order to have a child-like enjoyment of seeing one of his childhood heroes for the price of a child to lose their parents

he made a mistake

he wants to fix it but Clockwork refused point blank that he can’t change the past, however, he won’t stop him from taking any action after as whatever he does will affect this universes even more, 

After that Danny made it his mission to bring Bruce comfort and protect him from any types of threats from greedy rich higher ups to thieves coming to steal from the Wayne Mannor. He comes back and forth to his world and this world to look after Bruce and learns how the character in his comic book pages became a person he cares for. 

He watches him leave to train

He watches him come back

He watches him become Batman

He watches him become a father

 (From there I don’t know if Danny would change major things like Jason’s death or even Bruce’s journey through time, but I’ll like to think he does something when it comes to find Damian or even bring in Tim earlier rather than letting him go through that rollercoaster ride he had called a ‘personal life’)

(And yes through this all Danny is still a teenager but he can be around 17-19ish by the time Damian’s 14 or so)

Danny became something of a Wayne protector and Bruce knows that something/someone is keeping him safe as both Bruce and Batman and just let it be. This spirit or thing was there since his childhood so he has a certain attachment to whatever good will this spirit was providing him and pass down the knowledge to Dick and then his children when he notices that the spirit was protecting or helping his children as well

Like:

“B, I didn’t know you have a great singing voice!”

Bruce paused from his newspaper and looked up. “What do you mean?”

Dick pop a piece of bacon in his mouth before talking again, food flying everywhere. “You were humming me to sleep before your patrol!” 

“Mouth close Master Dick,” Alfried wiped the counter. He looked at Bruce with a raised eyebrow. “I wasn’t aware Master Bruce had to time to see the young master to bed.”

Bruce took only a second to understand. “Ah. No that wasn’t me. It seems our littler friend likes you chum.”

“Friend?”

“There are many things you must learn when living in the Wayne Manor Master Dick. Learning to find a little help now and again without one of us at present is also one of the number of things you will expecting while at your stay.”

I need more of Danny and Sad Tench-coat man/Tired Dad Constantine

Danny gets summoned by the Justice League and it’s playing along as the terrifying Ghost King when Constantine bursts through the door to ask them ‘What the bloody hell they think they’re doing?!’ Before he spots Danny and just sighs

Danny however just does a 180 from >:( ‘Big bad Ghost King’ to :D “Constantine!”

Everybody is just watching as Danny opens a portal to his office and reaches in, pulling out Constantine’s ridiculous amount paperwork.

Danny: :D

Constantine: nO-

Danny Does like spending time with Constantine, and spends time and even stays over in the House of Mystery when he needs to take a break from King Stuff-

Constantine: What are you doing in my house…what are you doing in my hOUSE

Danny: I want Waffle Fries 🟢w🟢

Danny is plopped into Gotham via Clockwork because he needs a vacation and a way to vent his energy, which is building up because of a growth spurt. Danny in true Fenton fashion finds an underground group of meta teens and kids, who just want to live a normal life, and decides to join them in throwing huge underground raves where everyone could vent out their powers however they wanted as long as someone kept a look out for the bats or rouges. Well, one night, Danny is on the lookout and sees the bats. He doesn't know what to do, so he immediately runs in, smashes a bottle of soda on the floor, and yells, "IT'S THE FURRIES! SCATTER!" And just as Batman arrives, everyone runs in a different direction. Danny just straight-up turns invisible and phases through the floor in panic.

The Unreachable Heart of Tim Drake

Everyone wants to be Tim Drakes favorite, but not for the reasons you might think.

It’s not about Tim’s intelligence or his quick wit, though those things are undeniably impressive. It’s not about the way he somehow manages to hold the entire Bat-family together, even as they fray at the seams. It’s not even about the quiet warmth he offers, the small moments where he lets his guard down just enough to remind everyone that he’s human, too.

No.

They want to be his favorite because Tim gives and gives and gives—until there’s nothing left of him to take.

Bruce wants to be Tim’s favorite because it’s easier than admitting how badly he’s failed him.

Tim is a reminder of every mistake Bruce has made as a father, every time he turned his back or let Tim fall through the cracks. He wasn’t there when Tim needed him most, when Joker turned him into something unrecognizable, when Tim clawed his way back to himself alone. Bruce thinks if he could just be Tim’s favorite, maybe it would make up for all the times he wasn’t enough.

But it doesn’t.

It won’t.

And Bruce knows it.

Dick wants to be Tim’s favorite because he doesn’t know how to fix the distance between them.

It wasn’t always like this. Once upon a time, Dick was Tim’s hero, the person he looked up to more than anyone else. But things changed, and the closeness they shared shattered under the weight of misunderstandings and unspoken words. Dick misses the boy who idolized him, who trusted him without question.

He wants to be Tim’s favorite because he doesn’t know how to be his brother anymore.

He knows what it’s like to be the one everyone forgets, the one who carries the family’s burdens without complaint, even as the cracks start to show. Jason doesn’t want Tim to end up like him—bitter, angry, consumed by the feeling of being unwanted.

But Jason doesn’t know how to show that. So instead, he fights for Tim’s attention, picking at him, challenging him, pushing him away even as he tries to pull him closer.

He wants to be Tim’s favorite because it would mean Tim still has room in his heart for someone like him.

Steph wants to be Tim’s favorite because he’s the one she always chooses.

She loves him. God, she loves him so much it hurts sometimes. But Steph also knows Tim has walls he doesn’t let anyone past—not even her. He hides himself behind his work, behind his role as Red Robin, behind the pieces of himself he’s convinced no one else will ever understand.

She wants to be Tim’s favorite because she doesn’t know if he’s capable of letting her be anything more.

Cass wants to be Tim’s favorite because she sees what the others don’t.

Tim is tired. So tired he’s cracking beneath the surface, even if he’s too stubborn to show it. Cass sees the way he pushes himself, the way he gives and gives and gives until there’s nothing left. She wants to shield him from it, from the weight he insists on carrying alone.

But Tim doesn’t let her.

He doesn’t let anyone.

Cass wants to be his favorite because maybe then he’d let her take some of the weight.

Duke wants to be Tim’s favorite because Tim makes him feel like he belongs.

Duke is still finding his place in the Bat-family, still figuring out where he fits in this patchwork of broken people trying to make something whole. But Tim? Tim treats him like he’s always been part of it, like he’s not someone on the outside trying to find his way in.

He wants to be Tim’s favorite because Tim makes him feel seen in a way no one else does. And maybe, just maybe, being his favorite would mean Duke could give that feeling back to him.

Damian wants to be Tim’s favorite because he doesn’t know how else to be a brother.

It’s not like he’ll ever admit it. Not out loud. But there’s a part of Damian that craves Tim’s approval, that wants to hear Tim say he’s proud of him, that he trusts him.

But Tim is cautious around Damian, careful in a way that feels like distance. And Damian hates it—hates that no matter how much he’s changed, no matter how hard he tries, there’s still something fractured between them.

He wants to be Tim’s favorite because he doesn’t know how else to prove that he cares.

The truth is, everyone wants to be Tim Drake’s favorite because they know they aren’t.

Tim doesn’t play favorites.

He’s too careful for that, too afraid of what it might mean, what it might cost. He keeps himself at arm’s length, even from the people who love him most.

They want to be Tim’s favorite because maybe then he’d stop being so afraid to let them in.

But Tim doesn’t know how to do that.

And maybe he never will.
