Honestly if I was Jace and Baela I would 100% stage a coup to get rid of Rhaenyra after the goofy ass Kingslanding sept plot and it would have nothing to do with misogyny and everything to do with how absolutely incompetent she showed herself even entertaining that idea.

so i think show!alicent would never sleep with criston cole (and vice versa) and i truly believe that only makes them desire each other more. and there's something deeply exciting to me about how twisted that is.

like yeah i enjoy the idea of the bubble finally bursting and them having having dramatic passionate sex, but i dont really see that as being in character for them (although I WILL read those fics)

I can only see a continuation of years of torturous tension...of them making meaningful eye contact and then looking away, flustered, or lightly brushing hands and savouring the few moments of physical contact they can have without being improper

i think both of them have wild fantasies that neither of them will ever act upon because it will ruin the ideals of purity and devotion that they want for themselves and each other

i think if either of them acted upon their sexual desires, the other would not only be disappointed, but lose interest entirely

however, i think if they became aware of each others sexual desires and even acknowledged them...but made it clear that they would never touch each other...that would just drive both of them crazy with lust because they would be proving to each other that no matter how much they want each other, they have the fortitude to resist...even though it's so so difficult

and i think thats really messed up and really really hot

i love them

gotta come up with some ways for them to express intimacy without touching, or at least not touching in a way that's overtly romantic or sexual - its gonna involve a lot of religious stuff for sure

For the past year, many people have seen Helaena being averse to physical touch as a sign of her hating Alicent.

So there is something nice about Helaena actually reaching her hand out for Alicent to grab, as they both run to safety. Helaena waits for Alicent, she sticks her hand out to grab Alicent, she is terrified but is concerned for her mother's safety, and they hold hands and run together...

thinking about how rhaenys and corlys presenting laena for viserys to marry served only to soothe viserys’ conscience and convince him that marrying alicent was somehow morally passable. it allowed him to convince himself he was doing the better thing by marrying alicent. also thinking about how when he mentioned to alicent that his council wanted him to marry laena, he watched the hope flitting across her features, watched the relief in her posture thinking she was free, thinking she’d escaped his clutches. only for him to announce at the council meeting after that he wants to marry her, that he will marry her. the way she fiddles with her fingers while shaking her head almost imperceptibly at rhaenyra, trying to convince her that she did not want this, despite how it may seem. her having to bear almost everyone in that room’s distaste at viserys’ selfish decision.
