I adore when people make Connor Detroit a little scary. Like yes he's sweet and submissive and domestic and deceptively pliant but he doesn't HAVE to be and he could easily kill Hank if he wanted to. People really do not talk enough about how fucked up it is that Rick forces Morty to be responsible for his mental stability. Like that would be a lot for an adult, Morty is a 14-year-old kid. And he should not be responsible for anyone other than his own mental stability. Yet at times he's like Rick's caretaker. It just isn't fair to him at all. He's forced to take self care time away from himself so he can make sure Rick eats (Rickfending your Mort) make sure that he showers (Season 6 finale) and make sure that he actually does things (Rickfending your Mort...again) Rick going to therapy without anyone telling him to is a great step towards him taking responsibility for himself, but he still has a long way to go before he stops forcing responsibilities onto the already overwhelmed anxious boy. Like Morty is barely seen actually acknowledging and facing his trauma like Rick because Rick pushes WAYYYY too much responsibility on him, so instead of taking care of himself which Morty should do, he's forced to take care of Rick and is basically like a parent to Rick in some cases. It's just not fair. My boy deserves sm better

The thing I hate a lot in this fandom is probably, when people, discussing other ships, think about sexual tension, longing, yearning, any kind of this... yet hankcon seems to them more like some old couple that stays at home all the time and rots and does nothing as something boring without a spark and fire in it.
