Today was frankly uneventful despite the handful of assignments I have due becoming more and more due at an alarmingly fast rate. Hoping to pull through and channel the pure studious energy that these doodles of Damien have. ❤️‍🩹

oh yeahhh btw, since most of the posts will be more-than-likely hq reposts (still with a slight grain) from my art insta, I’ll be writing down the “og” date that I drew said piece. Speaking of which, new post tomorrow!! I’m making it a habit of 1-2 posts every week. Wednesdays and Saturdays. Not always the case w/ text posts since they’re almost always done in real-time. Real yapper I am.

Analyzing Total Drama's repercussions and negative effects on teenagers in-universe is actually so enlightening and awesome and fun when you don't have some miserable clown in your ear telling you it's "just a cartoon" and that "you're reaching". Yeah reaching up what do you get? PEAK!!!!!!

This won't make sense right now but truuuuuuuuuuuust when I get the time + feel the mood to paint I'll 1000% draw Damien in his graduation gown receiving the diploma and honor roll top of his class with the biggest purest smile on his face to 'Youth' by Glass Animals or maybe 'Don't look back in anger' by Oasis.

and yeah he will be doing that in both versions of this AU but there is no Total-Drama-Season-3 -shaped wrench thrown into his plans for graduating and he successfully distances himself from anything related to Total Drama and lives a happy and fulfilled life and can sleep peacefully without the insomnia he's accustomed himself to because of overstudying to catch up on material he missed out on during the first 2 seasons. I mean whaaaaaaaaaaaaat??? who said thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?????????????????

When I'm stressed or antsy about something, I take a couple of minutes to draw Damien. Does it help? Absolutely not. But now there's two of us and we're both nervous.

So this is sort of half-baked in development, but I'll need a bit of exposure if this is gonna work. I'm a year deep into a Reboot S3 write and if all goes well, I could reactivate the sideblog and post about some very very important players. Well, his whole family, I think

May 14 + 17 : TDI Reboot / The Boys crossover. Lots of characters (not the full cast, unfortunately)

May 20: special off day where I'll probs rant about TENET

May 21: Heather or that one angsty Damien comic prompt based on Youth by Glass Animals (if I finish it)

May 24: Whichever post didn't get posted on the 21st

May 25: my birthday??? my birthday!!!

May 28: comic directly tying in Damien and Heather

May 31st: Finally posting them.

Why did I suddenly lock in? Why am I telling you this? Because frankly if I didn't post the Asian family who's been locked into my brain during Asian history month I won't allow myself to live it down. And letting you guys know ahead of time hopefully means you'll be on board when they eventually turn their 6 heads. haha

There was a cool patterned shirt I saw @ a thrift store window that reminded me a lot of Damien's palette, so I decided to draw him in a summery fit just in time for... summer! The weather's been pretty great lately, but man it is running late on its spring schedule.
