And oftentimes its actually fun stuff. Like watching a movie ir playing videogames.
people who dont experience it cannot comprehend how awful executive dysfunction is. I WANT to do the task, i have the resources TO do the task, i will feel better having DONE the task
but i cant fucking do the task
California galls, they’re undeniable, Round plant growths, created by wasps. Quercus[1] represent, now put your wings up. Ooh oh ooh, ooh oh ooh.
You could travel the world, But nothing comes close to the Andricus[2], Once you’re forming a gall, you’ll be falling in love. Ooh oh ooh, ooh oh ooh.

"comrade in arms" yeah i bet he was in your arms. every night. fruit
lol my best friend is that way. She actually commented about it when she started uni. All her friends, like ALL of them are trans, nonbinary and gay. We're all expecting her coming out tbh lol
Biologist here, it depends on HOW her hair works.
Does it still actively use the light as its power comes from the sun? And if yes, does the haircolor affect the absorbation of the light?Or is it only important that the hair isnt damaged/destroyed.
Lets just assume it can repair itself to a degree (otherwise stuff like split ends wouldve ended it long ago). How far can that go? Cutting seems to destroy it, so lets assume that for some reason, the hairs act like one big cell that gets destroyed by cutting.
Small attacks to its outer side will propably be able to be repaired, however damage that is done on wide areas will propably not be tolerated.
This brings me to the conclusion that stuff like bleach will destroy her power because of the structural destruction. Same goes for perms.
However, if it is true that the hair does not need to actively use the sun, semi permanent hairdye shouldnt be a problem and permanent hairdye could also be fine as long as youre careful and make sure the damage isnt too intense.
Having my nightly ADHD moment so bear with me:
If Rapunzel were to dye her hair, would the chemicals affect the magical properties of her hair?
This is taking into account the fact that her magic derives from the sun essentially, which then becomes a flower. Taking those chemicals into account, if we were to interact those chemicals with the chemicals of hair dye combined with hair as is, I’m just wondering what the effects would be.
I’m no chemist; in fact I almost failed chemistry. So if someone who knows chemistry could help me out here that’d be great!
EDIT: my discord friends are bringing up great points such as hair damage and how it varies.
The way most autism literature describes "literal interpretation" is often not at all similar to how I experience it. Teenage me even thought I couldn't be autistic because I've always been able to learn metaphors easily.
In fact, I love wordplay of all kinds. Teenage me was fascinated to learn all the types of figurative language there are in poetry and literature.
But paperwork and questionnaires are hard, because there's so much they don't state clearly. Or they don't leave room for enough nuance.
"List all the jobs you've had, with start and end dates." What if I don't remember the exact day or month? Is the year enough?
"Have you been suffering from blurred vision?" Well, if I take off my glasses the whole world is blurred, but I'm fairly sure that's not what the intake form at the optometrist is asking.
Or the infamous (and infuriatingly stereotypical) "Would you rather go to a library or a party?" What sort of party? Where? Who's there? I work at a library. Am I currently at the library for work or pleasure? Does it have a good collection?
It's not common figures of speech that confound me. It's ambiguity, in situations that aren't supposed to be ambiguous.
So funny when a post about a show you don't even watch instantly gets your attention as a fan of another. Saw a gifset of a character from The Pitt [a medical show] and in one of the pics he's holding the stethoscope around his neck at both ends and it looks like Hartnell's lapel clutch pose in Doctor Who.
And apparently the actor is Welsh. Possible future Doctor Who? :D
I wish more people were outraged about this. More people should be. In the span of what? A month? Netflix has not only cancelled Dead Boy Detectives, an incredible show with great acting, writing, film quality, etc... and characters that are queer, but they've announced a "modern retelling" of The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, you know, the book that was so gay it was used as evidence in the author's sodomy trial, and they have chosen to make Basil and Dorian Gray siblings. I have seen so little talk about it, because people are feeling exhausted and defeated, but you know what? Exhausted silence only sends the message to this bloody company that they can continue to do this type of shit and nothing bad will come of it because people don't care enough to fight back. What choice do we have but to fight? We have to fight and show people that we won't tolerate this kind of thing. Dead Boy Detectives was a brilliant show, and this isn't the first time such an incident has happened. Dorian Gray does not deserve this atrocious "modern retelling". I am sick of being met with silence and really, it's overdue that we let these companies know how exactly they can fuck off. I so desperately want to see given to these works the same treatment that people gave to OFMD when it got cancelled. No one else is going to do it for you. Not enough people realise how strong their individual voice can be if they stand up and shout it out. Let's show these companies what fucking happens when they pull these kinds of stunts. Every action has a consequence.
